I saw this on Yahoo yesterday. My hat goes off to anyone who can do that, but I like the old school surfing where they are not attached to the board and someone's not pulling them with a jet ski lol..However, when you're surfing 90 foot waves I guess that's the only way you can pull off something like that

You have to be an absolute god to pull off something like that... I grew up on a lake and spent a lot of time water skiing, but have never had the opportunity to tackle a 90 foot wave, that's bomb!

Having spent some quality time watching my Nephew tackle Mavericks (waves can get about this gnarly...that 90 footer though, that's just epic...Mavericks kicks you out into a giant field of rocks too, so you HAVE to have a jetski to come grab you), I just do not fathom how a human being can harness such incredible forces of nature in such a symbiotic (and violent) manner. These gents/ladies deserve some sort of medal of awesome, especially the 90 footer riding surf god.

(anybody seen the boards that come with self contained jets? It doesn't add too much bulk, remote controlled jets in the back, so it allows you to get over those biggies while they're breaking/no need for a tow in/out by a jetski, and if you start getting in the wash you can book it out away from the break and avoid joining the spin cycle under the swells).

Cool video, love it (long line of surfers here, many generations deep).
