So you are claiming that cannibas caused a fertilized egg to implanted outside the uterus (ectopic pregnancy)? I hadn't heard of this before.

I feel so badly for your girlfriend and her guilt. So many woman have experienced ectopic pregnancies that have never smoked marijuana and so many woman have smoked marijuana and never had an ectopic pregnancy. I hope some day your girlfriend can find some peace and freedom in realizing it wasn't her fault....

might be me, but that sounded rude. And it sounds spun,

My point was this, MJ was suggested as a possibility for why it was a tubal pregnancy. Through all recolection from the time we knew she was pregnant, all steps were taken to ensure a safe and healthy pregnancy. A million things could have gone wrong, but thats why you dont bleach your hair, or eat foods with mercury, you take suppliments that help your body function correctly.

So why risk it? Your introducing too many things to your body in just one hit.

Please, if you doubt me, GOOGLE "ectopic pregnancy marijuana"

Then come on here with an anonymous post questioning me.

PS about google results, you can't believe everything you read but i believe in this as i have nothing else to believe in.

I appreciate it Ivy, always listening. This has lead to demons only she can fight for her self. I am there for her and we do ok with it. Checking into other options.

To be honest, about this post, i thought it wasnt even a question on wether it's bad or not during pregnancies. I guess some find that acceptable.

My wife medicated while our daughter was in utereo. We had done a ton of research on the issue and found no real medical evidence that the non-smoking ingesting of MMJ would harm the fetus, and guess what?

IT DIDN'T!

My wife used edibles 90% of the time, and vaporized the other 10% - baby was born just fine - SLIGHTLY underweight, but not by much, and she doubled her birthweight in less time than normal. She's a happy, healthy toddler now, and we couldn't be happier.

So - medicating - OK - SMOKING - not OK.

I didn't medicate much during my marriage, and I would never have smoked anything while pregnant.... when I thought of it, I had this vision of my fetus "gasping" for air.... and I knew I could not do that.

If I'd had access to edibles, I might have tried that, though.

I do have a friend who medicated while pregnant with three of her kids. They are all very smart and fast learners. Not a thing wrong with them. It actually helped her with her ache's and pain while pregnant.

That's horrible - I'm really sorry to hear that happened to your GF; my friend had the exact same thing happen to her (sans marijuana, though).

Your experience is definitely something to keep in mind for women trying to get pregnant - but I don't know that the same can necessarily be said for women who are already pregnant. I read some of the articles that came up in the Google search and it seems that the link between MJ and ectopic pregnancy has specifically to do with the embryo's passage to and attachment in the uterus. There's no mention of any effect after implantation.

That said... if women could be more honest with their doctors without fear, and if more people knew about the link between MJ and ectopic pregnancy, perhaps they would be more careful about screening for it among women who are MMJ patients (or otherwise). After all, there are other medications people take for which this risk is present as well.

"no mention of any effects after implantation" only on those websites talking about ectopic preg. there are plenty of sites stating links to birth defects, physical and mental. From leaukimia to adhd.

If your smoking mj and your embyro makes it to the uterous, your worries arent over. Your blood stream is their blood stream, and your smoking/ingesting a psychoactive. And so are they.

MJ is bad for every one of us in some small way or another, it's only where it is today because of the syptoms it controlls. MJ has side effects.

Every single one of you would believe and boast about the rumors of the benefits of marijuana but your all so skeptical about the neg. effects that you'll even risk the health and well being of your own f@cking children.

Appauling.

Support is appreciated, but i honestly had NO IDEA people thought that this was ok. If the public knew so many of you were smoking pot during pregnancy, they would have a f@cking field day with MMJ and it's users.

Put science aside, facts aside. Ethics, morals? come on.

I wonder if other parents have noticed this also? =Judy= BTW, at 28/29 yrs. old, he'd rather use alcohol that MMJ (both Parents smoke - Father = MJ & Mother = MMJ)!

To all woman who are wondering about CPS issues, In 1973 I was born, and my mother never had issues with CPS before I was born, and because she had THC in her system during my birth, the CPS and the courts took me from her and put me up for adoption, and after I found my birth mother, she told me, it was just thc in her system, and when my adopted parents adopted me, they were told that my mom was a junkie and abandon me at the hospital, after many many years, I found out the truth. So all I have to say is be careful and use in moderation, and to protect yourself get doctors documentation saying he/she recommends its, so if you have issues with CPS you have a leg to stand on....You have the right to your medical records, have a copy.

Mrs. Shecky7 lit up once or maybe twice tops a day (maybe 3 tokes all day) to calm the stomach first six weeks maybe. Then stopped because anxiety was a result of one toke even. But by then the sickness had faded so she felt ok and didn't smoke thru the rest of the pregnancy.
So down the road nine months she started mild labor and after three days gave birth just fine!
We delivered alone at home unassisted fine no complications and our pediatrician says at 4 months he is 90% in height,95% in weight so he is fattening up nicely on his pure milk diet. He has never been sick or anything and is a squealing little ball of energy. PM to arrange to come over and see the placenta, its in the freezer. Kennabis can post some photos next visit...he he!

I had my rec when I became preg, I did not want to smoke either, so I would take small bites of edibles. I found it to be INCREDIBLY effective on so many levels. Not only nausea, but it quelled the excruciating sciatica pain a bit and helped me relax & relieved stress (hellooo new level of hormones!!!!!). I believe stress & negativity is more toxic to the child (& mother) than edible MMJ could EVER be. I read the studies about women in Jamaica, they found that the results there were more accurate due to women being more honest about their use. Furthermore, it found that their children were more organized and more likely to lead stress free lifestyles.
