PMS and Menopause Support Thread

Hey, wanted to open up a new thread so we could just discuss cannabis for PMS and Menopause along with adjunct herbal and vitamin therapies. Many women I have known throughout my life swear by cannabis for female problems and pain. I was never able to take the birth control pills and hormones and I suspect women with PMS issues have a similar thing going on, not able to take the standard BC pill/hormone treatment to solve the issues of PMS, pain, endo, menopause.

What might be nice for this thread too is if we could make a list of Drs that specialize in recommends for these issues and understand cannabis in that regard.

Re: PMS and Menopause Support Thread

my lover takes an herbal pill called Maxine's menopause formula. It works well especially with the moodiness. The only problem is that when your have your period you shouldn't take it, so if the moodiness is still there during the period it will be of no use.

WOW YEAH!!

http://www.country-life.com/moreinfo...&Product_ID=67

it has all the vitamins and herbs they recommend for all the female stuff all in one pill. Great find Edi!

The other thing I like for menopause is Edensoy Extra. This is the best tasting soy milk EVER! And it sure makes you feel better even if your problem is being on the rag. heh.

Hmm.. now this has me thinking... a high cbd/cbn low thc
Bhang, which is a traditional cannabis drink in India.

http://www.holifestival.org/bhang-recipes.html

substitute the Edensoy for the milk called for in the recipe...

hrmm.. i save all my vapor poo and actually 2-3 grams of poo made the best plate of high cbd/cbn gluten free brownies I've ever had in my life. I've seen posts here skeptical of the vapor poo re-use into food, but girl, it works well for me and my pain issues. No you don't get really high, but what is left in that poo is some powerful cbd/cbn with just a little thc and it knocks pain out better than anything I've ever had. I use a vapor genie which is the least expensive of vaporizers, like $50 bucks, but the great thing is the double bang for your buck. No cannabis goes to waste.

I'm going to make some bhang with my next 2-3 grams of poo and edensoy on a bad meno day and post here how it turns out.

Re: PMS and Menopause Support Thread

Greetings!

Thanks for starting this thread. I have suffered with terrible PMS symptoms as well as cramps, and I've sworn by cannibis to ease an array of monthly symptoms since I was a teenager. My PMS symptoms have worsened over the last few years - hormones run wild, and I've found that a good indica or hash helps ease the emotional rollercoaster, and black cohosh, taken in conjunction with Dim-Plus has helped balance out the hormones.

I'd be very interested in that brownie recipe utilizing the vapor poo, if you wouldn't mind sharing...???:smile2:

What I read in this post is that the CBD and CBN are more responsible for MJs analgesic attributes than the THC.. Is this true? Is it common knowledge that I just didn't know about? Good to know.... thanks

Re: PMS and Menopause Support Thread

An update on the terrible PMS my lover was having. With help of daily St johns Wort and Fish oil her moods have improved. If its really bad she takes a maxines too.
She took the BC pill for 2 months. That seems to stablize her periods somewhat. She still has some problems but not like before. She hasn't missed any work due to it anymore, which is great.

Brownies are the best thing in the world during that time of the month! You satisfy the chocolate craving and take the pain/moodiness away! I swear by cannabis, it treats all symptoms at once without irritating your stomach!mI would be an evil biatch without it!

Re: PMS and Menopause Support Thread

Brownies and chocolate chip cookies made w/herb butter work just fine for the emotional craziness from menopause! Chocolate just says love, doesn't it?

Menopause has been something that I didn't expect for a few years, but started early due to chemo, radiation and now I'm on Tamoxifen for the next 5 years!

It sucks feeling like a crazy nut, but smoking helps with the anxiety and other side effects!

Re: PMS and Menopause Support Thread

Just thought Id throw a lil post out here as our dear friend aunt flow is visiting right now and her trip this month seems to be the worst ever. It started out last night before she arrived with dizzy spells and vomiting (which btw could have also been the taco hell i had for dinner) then contiued on to cramping that made me cry myself to sleep and then finally woke up this morning with that old whore in bed with me. What a St Pattys Day eh? lol. So today its off to enjoy st pattys day disounst at the disp. and then a hot bath with a fat joint. ill talk to you all again when that bitch goes home!

Anybody got any good jokes? The monthly bill is way steep this month and it's not funnnnnny.

I request your support in averting my urge to find an ice-cream scoop and commence an impromptu ovary-gouging.

Please PM all your chocolate and medicine to me. If not chocolate and medicine, tell us all a joke!
