So its that dreadful time of the month for my lover. Here the past year, she gets extreme PMS. Very very moody. She doesn't like the effects of MJ so that is out of the question. She will sometimes take this herbal stuff Maxine's menopause something something. It helps, but states on the bottle not to take it was the period starts. But the moodyness is still there. Any suggestions on something that might help.

No she doesn't exercise unless we are in the pool. She had a bad accident a few years back an has a very bad ankle. She can't risk breaking it again. She won't go for the baby angle either. as we both dislike children and she is a 45 y/o virgin, and we couldn't afford that whole artificial insemination thing.

EDIBLES!! I find the negative effects most people don't like are not an issue with the body high oriented edibles! when im pms-ing there is NOTHING like a nice cannabis chocolate bar to make me comfy and happy!!! Also, I am on birth control pills and (even though your girl doesn't need the protection) and ever since I started taking them my periods are so much better and the pms is waaaaaaaay less!!! hmmm.....the only other thing I can think you could do is just bring her flowers and give her massages (tlc definitely helps pms!)!!!

Thanks everyone. She won't take the edibles either. She tried that once and it freaked her out. She is starting menopause and is having a terrible time of it. It really sucks. I just can't really relate to it much. I haven't had a regular period in years and even then they were nothing compared to what she goes thru. She wanted to try the pill route but the doctor wont give them to her. They werent able to do the required pelvic exam so no pills.

Actually having a baby is the #1 reliver of menstural cramps and such. (not always an option for some, but does give others future hope). I had terrible, deblitating cramps for 4 years: with vomiting and fainting spells to boot! Birth control pills were my gift from God. I'd recommend trying that, look around for another doctor if the pelvic is going to be a problem...though honestly she should just go ahead and do it, good for testing for cervical cancer and other uterine issues. (cysts and such)

never had mood swings though so this is my expirience with cramping only. Hope it helps.

Suffering from PMS without distributing suffering among one's tribe is tough. I'm a real piece of work when I'm PMS'ing and since Edi77's lady isn't much for my first line of defense (a well-packed smoking/inhaling device), the second weapon in my arsenal is a hell of an orgasm. (The third, for those of you interested, is killer Indian food.)

If she's feeling too nasty to even think about that, think about what relaxes her mentally or mentally and give it to her in hope that she feels better physically in turn. Little tokens, like books or other treats that play to our passions really have potential to lift the spirits.

Good luck, I hope she feels better soon and finds some sort of way to cope with this! (Yeah, Lou's a lady! Which is why I can coo at clones like a 5 year old would a kitten and get away with it.)

i'm not sure what to do to help. when she feels like this, her having an orgasm is out of the question, as its not a good idea for me to touch her when she is moody.
as for the whole pelvic exam thing. it wont happen. a doctor tried last year.using the smallest speculum available was to big and couldn't be used. had her in tears. the doctor finally said that there was no way to do it. and that her chances for cancer and other problems there were basically slim to none due to never having had sex

And the doctor still wouldn't perscribe the pills?! Asshole. There are smaller speculum's I bet, they do make them in child sizes, but you may have to request that one first hand. They should be able to get to the cervix with just a really long swab, I think.

I think Lady Jane is right!! Definitely try another doctor!!! And even if not, there are ways to make vaginas bigger, it usually just takes a little time and patience. Are pelvic exams required for birth control shots/patches? and do these things have the same pms curing effects? look into it!

she doesn't have insurance so doesn't really have many options on doctors. she has basically given up on trying to get the pills. she is very shy when it comes to going to the doctor for that. had never been until she was 44. hell we have been together for 3 years, and i have only seen her down low private parts 2 times. i'm talking very shy about these things.

I find that the honey works best for raging P.M.S. have her taste it on a piece of toast... It really does help the symptoms along with eliminating caffeine and sugar.

Maybe you should talk to her about what causes her to be so shy!!! From what you've said her orgasm frequency is probably pretty low, and I promise raising it a bit would help her mood all the time! (even when it's not the dreaded pre-menstrual time.) :o) I know it's a sensitive subject, but to me being able to physically show how you feel is the best part of having a commited relationship!!
