Unhappy abdominal adhesions

Hi all , just wanted to know if anyone out there is suffering from abdominal adhesions. I have been in pain for 20 years and have had two operations, that started with laproscopies. The first one, I woke up to a hystrectomy at the age of 29. The pain did not go away. So, I tried to ignore it with the help of pain pills, but, still unbearable, effecting everything in my life. At that time I was raising 2 young children and tried to keep up with them as a normal pain free mom would. Then as the pain continued to get worse, the docs' decided to do another laproscopy, Their report was that I was full of adhesions that were adhering themselves to the wall of my abdomen and various organs. They wanted to remove my left ovary(the only thing left from the hystrectomy. But, they had me open on the table for over 4 hours and decided not to. I ended up with a staff infection and was in the hospital for 8 days longer then the 3 they expected. Now, after a failed colonoscopy(extreme pain, even under the sedative), then a barium enema, another painful test, they have decided to do the laproscopy again. Iam scared! This post is not to feel sorry for me, I am just curious, has anyone of my wter friends have any thing like this? If so, will you share your experience and what if anything helped you. Maybe some people can't imagine the pain that goes with this, not to mention the retrictions it puts on my life. Thanks for listening and any answers you might have. The tokermom is in need of help!! Hugs to all!

Re: abdominal adhesions

I don't have adhesions, however I have abdominal pain left from a debridement of a infected foreign body (surgical hernia mesh implant) from a couple years back. During the surgery my surgeon cut a nerve in the lower right quadrant of my abdomen. In addition, I have spent many years in the healthcare industry as a registered nurse. To answer your questions (not a medical physician) if the adhesions to your abdominal cavity also include the abdominal muscles then you are most likely to experience severe pain while coughing or sneezing. If this is the case you should try edibles. If you could smoke without coughing by regulating intake and perhaps using a vaporizer then you could try this ingestion. If you do not have a vaporizer then you could try a "solar hit". With this type of a heating agent a magnifying glass is used instead of a butane or gas lighter. Try to keep you pipe clean to avoid resin intake which is a harsher hit and may cause coughing. Also, you may want to try drinking Aloe Vera Juice Concentrate. It has nothing to do with marijuana but has some awesome healing properties especially in the treatment of internal adhesions.

i have also experienced adhesions due to severe endometriosis. 420 is the only thing that has kept me from the looney bin due to the severe pain.

Re: abdominal adhesions

I've had some adhesions due to an exploratory intussusception surgery at seven months old, then more from my dead gall bladder laproscopy 4 years ago.

Pain is a pain.
