hello folks! well I have everything i need when i medicate except when it comes down to the perfect refreshment. I have had perfect refreshments before like key lemon lime soda, a mix of all the fountain drinks at a jack and the box, gatorade,which i heard can lower your sperm count so i guess thats out of the picture, and yes i have even had the most natural refreshment known to man, ones mothers milk.but i think none of these fit the bill for my throat after a very harsh ................. deep.......... sensual.. (with the pinky up)........ pipe hit,so i am asking if anybody has any favorite drinks? one good one i like is Sierra Mist lemonlime soda.

It takes 1 and 1/2 times as much water to rehydrate after consuming anything with high fructose corn syrup, which is most of what you drink to quench your thirst. Milk just makes you mucosa when you consume too much.

I'm drinking a cup of chamomile tea with two medicated strips that are water soluble and dissolve nicely into hot water. I add raw brown sugar and a bit of fatty milk. It's a highly medicating and very thirst quenching drink if you chill it down in the freezer. But, I like it hot! If you can handle the calories, some honey for some smooth and sweet texture.

I find one of the best methods to avoid cotton mouth is to drink lots of water throughout the day. Keeping the body hydrated is great for health and really helps avoid cotton mouth. I also like iced green tea, but fresh brewed, so there is less sugar in my iced tea. When my throat starts to act up I like a nice hot mug of tea, most any flavor, with a little bit of honey. This always gives a great soothing releif to my throat. I also like freezer pops, I do find that the sugar in those kinda coats the back of the throat, and the cold of it helps sooth.

I had the same problem! Soda always made it worse later, and too much gatorade made me get heartburn for some reason? Anyway one day I was at 7 eleven and decided to try Vitamin Water! INSTANT cottonmouth cure! Doesnt have that gatorade artificial taste and theres lots of flavors. Also when not drinking that I drink water all day and sure helps out. Take care and stay positive.

Gatorade,slurpees, coke/dr.pepper altho i am trying to severely cut down my soda consumption... nothing beats having bad cottonmouth skating to 7-11 and get a big or super big gulp that hit just hits the spot...

And uh... where are you pouring this Gatorade to incur such a risk... because I have trouble believing drinking it actually does that. :)

In order to have successful fertilization, sperm must be able to swim vigorously when approaching an egg. "The timing was all wrong," Dr. Lani Burkman, the lead researcher, said (BBC News, 10/13). Burkman said that the researchers are not exactly sure what caused the change in sperm function, but she suggested that tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, the substance in marijuana that causes people to feel "high," could cause improper timing of sperm function by direct stimulation or may be "bypassing natural inhibition mechanisms." The study also indicated that men who smoke marijuana have lower sperm counts because they have lower quantities of seminal fluid compared with fertile men who do not smoke marijuana. A previous study showed that the enzyme cap on sperm changed when exposed to high levels of THC, making it harder for sperm to attach to the egg (Reuters, 10/13).

Burkman said that men who smoke marijuana are capable of having biological children, but she added that smoking marijuana may cause men with "borderline" infertility to be "pushed ... over the edge into infertility," according to BBC News. "I definitely would advise anyone trying to conceive not to smoke marijuana, and that would include women as well as men," Burkman said. Alison Murdoch, chair of the British Fertility Society, said that the results were "not surprising" because marijuana is a "potent" drug that likely affects many systems in the body, according to BBC News. However, she added that "male infertility is quite complicated" and could be influenced by other factors, including diet, cigarette smoking, alcohol consumption and exercise. "The partners of men with low sperm counts can sometimes achieve pregnancy, and it is only when men produce very, very small amounts of sperm that they can be considered infertile," Murdoch said (BBC News, 10/13).

Gatorade is the least of your worries if sperm count is what matters.

If you just hate to drink plain water, then drink some tea with lots of honey in it. Will give you that sugar syrup fix that you crave. And it feels great if your throat is burning from some poorly dried medicine.

Soda and all drinks with high fructose corn syrup are not very healthy when consumed on a regular basis. They also tend to make dehydration worse.

I'm gonna go get some free water now. It's 10 feet away and instant.
