Seems Carmen was trying to bully AEG about some billboards that they have been building for years, and the City Council unanimously rejected his advice!!! The MONEY quote comes from Ed Reyes, who states that lawyers in the city attorneys leadership team "want to be the ones creating policy despite the wishes of their bosses... The city attorney advises the council, but now we have to talk about trust, and that, I believe, has been severely shaken".

WE ALL NEED TO SUBMIT A NEW SET OF LETTERS TO THE CITY COUNCIL AND POINT OUT THAT TRUTANICH IS TRYING TO RUN THE SHOW AND SEIZE POWER FROM THE COUNCIL!!!!!!!!!

The council is starting to feel threatened by Trutanich and his bully tactics. We need to be sharks smelling blood in the water and hit the council with a feeding frenzy of letters that pit them against each other. Lets ask the council who is in charge, Trutanich or them!!! C'mon and play the game! Our opponents like Usher are playing the game, and so should we!!!

This is a big deal. We need to let Reyes know that Trutanich and his Raid spray are trying to infect not only MMJ, but all issues as well. Trutanich is a rogue, and Councilman Reyes said as much to the media. Lets remind the council that the City Attorney and the District Attorney do not run the show, and that we elected the council to make law. Get busy folks, send letters and come up with ideas, or allow renegades like Trutanich put us back on the streets.

Trutanich & Cooley are ignoring the will of the people and trying to regulate Medical Marijuana according to thier own skewed interpretation of the law. They have ignored accepted guidlines drafted by Ca Attorney General Jerry Brown. They want a return to "Reefer Madness" and are wasting huge amounts of taxpayer dollars on raiding Medical Marijuana dispensaries who are in compliance with the law, just not Trutanich & Cooleys interpretation of it. They have even tried strong arming the City Council over other issues.... Why isn't our Governor or Attorny General reigning them in?

Hello, my name is [VooDoo Chile]. I am a concerned Medical Marijuana patient. I read an article in today's Los Angeles Times about the City Attorney taking his role of advising the City Council far beyond its intended scope. I wish to express my support for the Los Angeles City Council and my reservations about the City Attorney's egregious power grab. I believe Mr. Trutanich is trying to override the City Council's legislative authority with respect to the Medical Marijuana Regulations just as he did during the recent AEG billboard discussion. It is my opinion that the City Attorney's job is not to dictate policy. Please do not let him use his advisory role as an excuse to monopolize the complex issue of Medical Marijuana Regulation. I have the utmost confidence in the City Council's ability to enact a reasonable policy on its own. While Mr. Trutanich's input has its rightful place in this civic debate, I think his approach thus far has been insulting to the City Council's members and its integrity as a deliberative body. Thank you for taking the time to listen to my views. I look forward to seeing reasonable regulations implemented, despite Mr. Trutanich's overzealous and frankly ridiculous suggestions.

This angle is getting alot of play. Trutanich ran as an "outsider". Now it seems he is going outside his official duties, and running for future political office IMHO. The Raid can, the billboard flap, and his demeanor all point toward someone who is self-promoting. It's now up to us to make the council aware that we are aware of Trutanich and his dog and pony show.

When I first posted about writing a letter, you critisized me for not posting it in its entirety!

When I posted a different letter, you critisized me for replacing my real name with my username in the thread copy!

When I attended a protest, you criticized me for receiving attention (from who?) that you decided I didn't deserve!

Is it me, or am I sensing a pattern here.......
