I drove from San Diego to LA to get my monthly meds . I was just robbed coming out of a place in Universal City. I will spare the name of the location because it was not there fault - and I do not want to bring them bad plublicity.

I parked across the street in a handicap parking area. Walked 1 block to go inside. Purchased 400$ worth of medicine and left. I got right outside and a Mexican was standing around the corner. He said if you run my homies will get you - more mexicans across the street. He said he has a knife and hes going to shank me if I don't give him my bag.

I'm a recovery spinal surgery patient. I had surgery 4 month ago to correct broken spine. I can not run... I can barely walk. I get robbed in broad day light at 1.30 pm by a mexican.

What is this world coming too. I contiplated running... but I figured I would do more damage to my spine - possibly paralysis and also getting shanked. I lost my Id's , recommendation , keys, $400 in fresh meds, and other things of value.

I don't understand people. I am now going to carry defense weapons for my protection. As I will not stand there at knife point and fall to the mercy of some fuck head ever again. I recommend to you all.. take protection. In my case a knife wouldn't do me any good... as I can barely walk. The police found a nearby video camera recording the robbery , but it was too low res. to be any good for identification.

I guess I need to get a recommendation to carry firearm protection. I'm tired of this shit and I will not stand for it any more.

I am so sorry to hear of this horrid thing happening to you.

Please get a buddy to be with you during your purchases. Or park closer and get the security guard to escort you to your vehicle.

It happened to me right outside a super market, mid day, mid week, and I am still trying to recover from it even tho it has been 17 months ago.

I don't recommend fighting back. I didn't and still got injured. These monsters have no heart and laugh at their victims.

I hope that you reported it and also to the credit bureaus.

Any patient that observes strange activity outside a collective should bring it to the attention to security or staff. If you are injured in such a way or even just feel uncomfortable in any way please do not ever be afraid to ask security to escort you to your car. i am sure that every collective in LA is willing to do this for you,Just Ask!

Shortly after my first cancer surgery, while I was still creeping around half bent over in pain, I made my first trip to get my meds...

I was accosted by a young man, I guess he was early 20's.... He pulled out a knife, and told me to give him the bag. I did. He then told me to empty my pockets. Once again, I did. I came out of my hip pocket with the .45 I carry most of the time.

I told him it was my turn. I put him on the ground, and kicked him squarely in the face. Picked up his knife, broke the blade, and cut his face with his broken blade. He pissed himself, started crying, begging me not to kill him. I told him to get up and run, and not to stop. Last I saw him he was hauling ass down the street in his piss soaked jeans.

After I got to my car, and drove away, I pulled over and shook for about ten minutes......

I have had a CCW permit for a number of years. This was only the second time I have ever used it.

I honestly hope I never have to again.

By far, the BEST protection is the buddy system. I was lucky the little prick didnt have his buddies with him, God knows how it would have worked out if he had....

oh, and the dispensary closed within the month, the city shut them down.

yup, it became assault and battery when I cut him.... I was wrong to do it. I was a tad bit agitated... no, actually I was in a full blown rage by that time.....

he didnt seem to want to press charges....

and I hope I didnt just make a smarter criminal....

like I said, the buddy system is MUCH better!

I'm 4 months out of a spinal operation. I had a Vertabra removed and replaced with a titanium cage. If I had a gun.. I would have pulled it legally or illeaglly and gave him one warning before exercising my right to protect my life.

To tell the Truth it does not matter what club you walk out from, how safe they are, how the landlord is. This is a true story His name will be #2.

#2 on a Wednesday in 2002 or 2003 fall. Was leaving the Yellow house on La Brea and about Fountain, sold a couple LB's of product and was on his way home. A gray undercover car with lights on the dash board pulled behind #2 and told him to pull over. 1 man got out of the passenger side in a suit. Said to #2 and said who are you what are you doing leaving that club just now. #2 told the truth, "I sold 4 lb.'s to the Yellow House and I am on my way home." The "DEA?" told #2 to give them the money, and they have been looking at this place for awhile now. HE did, and they told him NOW HAVE A NICE DAY. #2 left as quick as they pulled him over.

It does not matter what club you go to who owns the club, they are watching and if there watching, gang members are watching and anybody who wants to get your meds or your money they are watching to.

Put a GPS tracking device into your stuff so if you are robbed the stuff can be tracked immediately.
