Rep Power: 0 | Is it possible for me to get an actual CARD instead of a big certificate? Hello guys, I'm sorry if this was posted in the wrong place, I couldn't seem to find a proper place to ask about this. When my doctor issued me the recommendation so I could legally use marijuana, I was given a large certificate as proof. This was what I was supposed to carry around whenever I smoked so the police could verify me right then and there. It seemed like a pretty serious certificate that I shouldn't have to carry around everywhere. I've since folded it up into a card-like shape and stored it in a part of my wallet, which has worked out well for awhile; the last time I went to a dispensary, however, I pulled it out and it was slightly torn, and also rather faded. This obviously isn't good, my sole proof that what I'm doing is legal is disintegrating before my eyes. I need help! Is there a way to get issued an actual card? Or can you make your own card? And if you can in fact make your own card, what needs to be put on it? Thanks for all the help, guys. I'm sorry if this was in the wrong spot! |

Otherwise, and really no matter what, you should go get another certificate from your doctor, being torn and faded the county, and police, may not accept it. |

The first time u visit a co op you will need the original. I suggest always keeping the original in the car as well. irie day |

I renewed my rec with MMC and I got the certificate original that I show to the co-op for the first time, a walllet sized certificate that you use after your first time at a club, and another certificate just for the leos. I keep the original cert. in my gove box with the leo paperwork, works great. |

The rec letter with the "wet" signature is the best way to get into most co-ops and the best line of defense against LEO, unless you also have a county-issued state ID card. You can put the letter in a plastic sleeve to keep it safe. When I went to MMEC they told me that I could laminate my letter. I thought about doing it but I haven't. I'm afraid that it'll obscure the official stamp/indents that are placed over my picture on the rec. Has anyone tried lamenting their rec? |

My cousin is a cop and he was telling me a lot of times cops will still issue a ticket because theres no way of them knowing its forged... just a thought. |

Rep Power: 1447 | Re: Is it possible for me to get an actual CARD instead of a big certificate? all collectives are different, for first timers you should be required to show your CA ID and your recommendations with a "wet" doctors signature whether it be your large paper or a wallet sized card (usually folds) recommending you use mmj. Returning patients at our collective are required to carry a copy which can infact be a reduced in size laminated copy. I agree with keeping the original in the car and carrying a copy. Even if its just a photocopy. |

Rep Power: 1447 | Re: Is it possible for me to get an actual CARD instead of a big certificate? ALSO please everyone double check that your recommendations have WET signatures. A few doctor offices out there are computer printing and stamping signatures. This is illegal. Collectives are supposed to turn you away if you show up with an unsigned rec. I've felt terrible turning away patients because its not your fault. These doctors need to simply pick up a pen and sign the paperwork... you'd think they were making enough money.... |
