Marijuana 'Forest' Found In Manhattan Apartment Building

DEA Seizes Hundreds of Plants

POSTED: 10:16 am EDT March 28, 2007
UPDATED: 10:31 am EDT March 28, 2007
from: Wnbc.com
NEW YORK
-- Drug Enforcement agents raided a Washington Heights apartment building on Tuesday and found a virtual "forest" of marijuana plants being grown on one floor of the building.
News Channel 4 first reported the seizure where agents were seen removing more than 700 plants from the site.
The raid happened around 10:30 p.m. at a building at West 154th Street and Amsterdam Avenue after investigators were tipped off about the facility.

No arrests were made. DEA officials said they are still looking for the suspects who ran the operation.
Con Edison electrical experts were also called in to help dismantle the drug facility because of the advanced lighting that was installed across five rooms of the building.
Officials said this drug seizure is unusual, because so many plants were being grown in one city location. It took investigators several hours to remove all of the drug-related material from the location

I always shed a tear when I hear of waste like this.
Then I wonder how much gets diverted into the bonus compensation pool for the boys in blue.
Y'think it all goes into the evidence locker?
Naaaah . . .

Re: NYC, NY: Marijuana 'Forest' Found In Manhattan Apartment Building

If the Dreadful Evil Assholes didn't have guns and all, a lot of this stuff would be comical. These guys are so ineffectual at getting rid of the REAL problem-Meth, Herion, Coke and all those pills-that you almost feel bad for them (Note I said ALMOST-these are some of the meanest folks on the planet, right up there with the Tailban...).

What a waste-why doesn't some smart person set up a huge grow of nothing but MALE plants? Let the boys spend their time on that, and leave us the f*#k ALONE!

Grr,
'bug
