It's orange (my favorite color and I happen to be wearing orange today, right now). It has a beautiful flower on it with sparkles too. I sent Stephanie a beautiful card with a leaf glued to it and they sent it back to me (just like Resipsa said they would) but I sent it anyway because Farmer said that he gets cards from her with glued things on it all the time. Well I guess glued cards can come out of the federal prison, they just can't go in. So, I'll just type her a note.

Glued onto the envelope she sent me was this quote:

She will be out of that location in about 100 days. She closed her note to me with "Take care and keep fighting. GO OBAMA"

I wrote to her once and got a lovely card; it's high on my list of things to do, writing her back. I also asked my mom to write to her and they are correspondents now.

Stephanie's pretty much going into the record book for most variations on an address. Typically, if you get her name and inmate number right, as well as some mention of the prison, whatever address you put on works.

Her's differs from yours because they make the prisoners address the mail in a certain way. For instance, she used to put POW on her return address and they told her she could put POW anywhere she liked in the letter except the return address! Go figure.

I put satellite camp on mine, because that's how it was when she went in. If you've ever driven by the complex at night, from the main road it does look like an encampment on the moon, so I always thought satellite was an appropriate way to describe it.

I got another card from Stephanie today. It's super cute with Betty Boop on it. I'll put this one up at Western too. I sent her a typed letter and added a copy of John Conyer's letter to the DEA and a few other things. I'm not sure how much mmj news she gets in jail. I'll send her another message before the end of the week.

Everyday I wake up, I get to see all the cards I've received from this brave soul. She's an inspiration and I love her creativity and humor that is displayed in all her home-made cards. My favorite is the one with the "Marijuana Girl" cover. "She traded her body for drugs and kicks!" Stephani always cracks me up and it's really important for all who can to take a moment of your day and write to Stephani or other MMJ political prisoners locked up for this plant.

Go to ASA's website and click on the link to a list of political prisoners. It means a lot when you're inside to get any kind of contact to the outside world. Really keeps the spirits up, no matter what you write. It only takes a few minutes of your time and it means so much to those locked up!

Thank you sweetie. I'm just doing what I can. And I truly believe if EVERYONE did what they could, we would have much more to do.

We all have different levels of abilities, different strengths and weaknesses, and other obligations and responsibilities but we can all do something and do that something is better than not doing it at all even if that something is small. It's all relative. One man's something may be small compared to another man's something but if it's all the something that man has, then it's big enough. Maybe that's too vague.

I have no special god-given talent or gift that anyone else does not have.


Rosa Parks, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Gondi, Nelson Mandela, Mother Theresa, Thomas Jefferson, etc are just people too. The only difference between them and others is what they did, how they did it, and when they did it. We all have the potential to make big changes will little actions, especially if we do it together.
