How many strains?

I don't want this to sound like bragging, let me make that perfectly clear.

My husband looked at my medicine case today and said, "wow, you have a lot of different kinds." I looked, counted, not including the hash and other concentrates, I have approx. 9 different strains of medicine in my case. Mind you, most have less than half a gram...some I liked and are saving the last bit of juicy goodness for a rainy day (not too far off!), others I just wasn't into at the time, you know.

So, he continued, "why don't your ask you Weedtracker people how many they have." I'm sure he really meant, "little friends" when he said "Weedtracker people." He just had that tone.

OK, now how many do you have? I don't need a run down of flavors (unless you are particularly proud), just number.

Thanks, little friends!

Re: How many strains?

I play Mad Scientist with my strains so I like to have a good assortment of many flavors and potencies on hand to further my scientific endeavors.

As far as base strains, I've got 9 on hand and several vials yet of my own mixtures. (TKC's OG Kush + TKC's Cotton Candy = Homemade Cotton Kush.)

My girlfriends are all into this Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab thing currently and have parties in the name of mixing Egyptian Blood Musk with Nefertiti's Apple Bushel or some such. I'd rather have a medication-mixing match. It's far more rewarding than mixing drinks or some fragrant perfume I'm probably highly allergic to :D

Re: How many strains?

I was thinking more along the lines of the old Jelly Belly recipes. Actually, the way some strains are named, I think you can pretty much use the JB recipes to mix your meds!

Re: How many strains?

Do you find that switching off similar strains helps prevent a tolerance? I was in the bay area and buying strains with the same names as my LA favorites but these new buds were just different enough that my body reacted as if they were brand new. It was just as good for pain relief and sleep, I just needed a lot less. Since I've gotten back I've found that using different clubs for the same strains also works well. Am I just imagining this?

Oh definately I find that smoking one strain I will build up a tolerance, back off and smoke a different strain and go back to the original and it is like I have never smoked it before.

Re: How many strains?

I try to keep at least two different kinds a sativa and a indica but I currently just have a hybrid strain right now which is pretty effective

Re: How many strains?

I usually have somewhere in the neighboorhood of 7-8 strains. I often times buy stuff, then hear about new stuff coming in somewhere else then go buy that. Then I get home, hear about some other new stuff at a new place and, well you get the picture. Right now I find myself sitting on the last of my ultrawreck, killed the Lavener this morning, said goodbye to the godfather last night, babysitting some midnite purps, empty bottle of Afghani, saving the HIPkush for my trip home this weekend, and not wanting to burn that last nug of DJshort BB until absolutely necessary. Guess I'm a shopaholic.

Yeah... but only if you've got the high grade European chocolate to go with it for baking brownies. 'Cause cannbutter without chocolate is just sad.

Wait, what about cannabutter krispy treats? They don't have any chocolate and are yummy!

But I agree about the chocolate. cannabrownies are a win/win for me!

True true, I do love those cannabutter RKTs, but everytime I eat one I always think how much better it'd be with chocolate. oh well, I guess the GRASS is always greener.....
