Rep Power: 81816       | bikini girls should not promote mmj or legalization! yesterday i was at the cyrpess hill smokeout event (at the worst venue on earth btw) and there were several dispensaries and oaksterdam there with half-naked bikini girls promoting their "causes." i like half-naked girls as much as the next guy, but its entirely inappropriate and unprofessional to have that promoting your medical marijauna collective. i find it to be offensive, this is exactly why the rest of the nation thinks mmj is a joke. this is not something that should be happening, it makes us all look bad and perpetuates the stupid stoners stereotype. i demand, and you all should to, that oaksterdam and the offending dispensaries (too many to list actually) applogise for their disrespect to the real activist and patients who have worked so hard to get where we are today. |

But do you really think this show is all about MMJ ? I think this show is more about smoking weed and seeing some bands. Do you think there are a bunch of people reaching out to learn more mmj at this concert really?? When I need to learn more about medication I always turn to my favorite rock, hip hop stars and comedians for advice. Seems to be the perfect place for hot chicks promoting MMJ to me!! |

At my first dispensary, we got anonymous letters with red ink saying "DEA is OK" and other fear tactics telling us to leave the neighborhood. What about John Smith? A cop that use to drive around voluntarily and harass patients outside of collectives...a lot of new places opened up and are desperate for business...they could care  less about jeopardizing the movement with irresponsible advertising and attitudes. Undercover cops go into dispesaries and unfortunately when one idiot is being stupid at a collective, it reflects poorly on the whole movement! The greedy sharks that are now in the business need to start thinking!!! | |

Bikini babes make sense at car shows and concerts. But promoting MEDICAL marijuana with bikini babes makes as much sense as bikini babes selling bibles door to door. You just are not "hitting" the right audience with bewbs and buns if you are trying to convince folks Medical Marijuana is legitimate. ps.... when I ask the pharmacist at CVS for advice on medicine, her bra cup size just doesnt enter into to my decision making process. Could'nt agree more, It is more and more seeming like the "other" people are moving in on the movement. Trying to implemnt all the "advertising tricks" to get people to them and take their "donations". Sad isn't it. I thought our movement would change the world to love, for the truth, to open minds and expand our intelectual ration.
