Rep Power: 210176       | Who Likes HD?? Anybody have HD service? I love it and wouldnt go back for anything. Tell me what kind of TV u have and what HD shows u like to watch.Ill start: 50" Samsung DLP HD with DirecTV HD programming. My favorite HD shows are;The first 48(A&E),Cold case files(TNT),Csi Miami(A&E) just to name a few. |

Planet Earth from BBC on BluRay... favorite HiDef movies (visually): Blade Runner, Fifth Element, Black Hawk Down. favorite music concert/show on DVD/BluRay: Eagles:When Hell Freezes Over favorite broadcast sports HiDef: football seems to be the best picture...baseball was second best in quality... favorite broadcast TV series: well, they are all pretty bad for story lines and plots, but visually, the CSI series are well filmed, Dexter...Smithsonian Channel (HD only on Directv) has some very visually amazing shows. |

Everytime i go over to a friends house who does have the service, ill be watching a show that i have already seen on my HD'less tv, and you can totaly see the fakeness int it. Yeah the picture quality is fantastic but when you can blatantly tell that everything your seeing is a fake set, and all the actors are just caked with make-up. It completely ruins the false reality of shows for me. I have not been able to enjoy a single show ive seen with HD. NOT ONE... Who knows though....If i had it all the time instead of here and there i would probably just get used to it. |

Rep Power: 1172 | Re: Who Likes HD?? 47 Samsung LCD TV with 120HZ and AMP. Mostly play games, Xbox 360 and PS3, plus lots of blu-rays. I watch Battlestar Galactica, Terminator, and a few others. I own close to 1200 DVDs/Blu-rays including almost 200 imports from HK,Japan, Korea, Italy and what not. Was in the military and in a foreign country so had a lot of free time to watch movies. hahah. |

Rep Power: 2441 | Re: Who Likes HD?? 46" samsung (650 series). I love this thing! The sammy is my living room. i bought my TV right before the beijing olympics, which were broadcast in HD. Man was i hooked right off the bat. Timer warner HD service is fairly good, competitive with everything else out there i've seen. The HD service is free, and for an extra $5 per month they give you 15 mroe HD channels. this is gr8 for me because these channels will have MMA events half the time. i watch a ton of movies in 1080p. I think i've been to the movie theaters once since i got my TV. no surround sound, but i have fairly large 3way bookshelf speakers that bang. |

Theres a different feeling you'll get while watching a movie on Blu Ray in True motion, it's like the difference of being in the action or watching the action happen.....My first time was watching WANTED with Angelina Jolie-great movie*** two thumbs up***..on a 70". I was like a fly to a fresh pile of crap... all over it.... |
