[weedtracker]

youve probably seen by now that one of those other weedtracker-like sites now has its own iphone app. i dont know how useful it will be, but im sure a weedtracker app would be far more useful considering how large our community is and how much information we have to share with each other.

so... what would you like to see in an weedtracker iphone app?

menus? reviews? forum post? map and location info? chat?

easy directions/maps, menu updates, up to date medical marijuana news, maybe a weed version of pocket god lol (i can dream?) reviews would be great theres so much that could be done.

Definitely menu updates! I like the map idea and the zip code search. Maybe a notifier when there is a new dispensary listed or when one is removed.

You are going up against people like Jeff Jones etc.... the old guard types who don't like competition one bit.. I say go get 'em tiger! :D

i dont have an iphone either, but its all the rage so its time to jump on the bandwagon as they say. if a site that nobody uses has an iphone app, then imagine how useful one will be for a site thats actually used and updated.

This is getting bad press in the media. They are claiming this app is used to find "drugs". They neglect to mention it's for MMJ patients.

Maybe something like crazedlist, where you can check which co-ops to get messages from and maybe the type of message. That way someone could choose to get menu updates when any of the 5 co-ops they have selected post new updates. As with any app of this type some good way of filtering what information you get would be nice.

I would say it should locate clubs in your area. Give you directions to them from where you are. It should have menu updates for the club you just chose. And it show the hours of all the clubs.

haha it should also find the good munchie spots near the clubs for you haha.

I got an Iphone, I use "Safari" to browse the net and it works great for looking up anything on WT, messages, posts, menus, anything. I think that all of us are so cool that we don't need an app. for WT, let those other guys think they're all cool with their app. That's what makes us a step up from the rest.

An iphone app with dispensary locations and menus would be sick. As it is I use WT before I hit my local clubs to see if they have the strains I want so this would be awesome to check it on the go!

I agree with the zip code search where it locates all the co-ops in your vicinity. Then a quick info on the co-ops such as most recent posts, caps, hours, etc. I don't think it needs to be complicated, a simple app that minimize WT.com would be perfect. After all, it's mostly going to be used "on-the-go."

Honestly, I was a ********.com member first, truthfully, I rarely come here. I mean, look at this site, it's a complete, ad-ridden, cluster-fuck of a site! You guy said "one of those other weedtracker-like sites", you sound like you have something personal against them or they copied you, when I first started and saw ********.com's layout versus yours, it looks like, if they copied you, they surpassed you guys in every single way.

******** even has a iPhone formatted site, that you can access from Safari. Your website should be at least half of what theirs is. EVERYBODY READING THIS THREAD GO TO ********! It's like a Myspace for patients. They have everything you guys are asking for, i.e., dispensary by zip, maps, recent posts, caps, hours, menus, med pics, your own profile, friend lists, privacy settings, comments about dispensaries, they even have the highest rated dispensaries highlighted by zip code, etc... Now they're coming out with an app next week. Do you really think they're going to step their game down for an App, no! I hate to say it but, I'm wiling to bet, their app is going to be better than visiting your site....which is a headache to visit on an iPhone, because of all the flash advertisement.

I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm bashing, hey, if you're an Admin, delete me, I'm just telling the truth and letting you and everyone else know, there's a website that has stepped their game up, everything these people are asking you for, another site already has. I want it to do everything for me except enjoy the effects! JK'ing, I only "track" from my iPhoneand don't have any trouble. Don't know if I need an app. Why Poppaquarius do you feel the need to come here and bash WT'er and bring negativity to a site where the majority want to share their positive vibe! I appreciate your right to speak your opinion but maybe instead of 'ing on a good thing you could offer your constructive suggestions!
