so i got a google phone today. its bad ass. my blackberry was getting kind of beat up and i really hated the web browser on it cause you really couldnt do anything but go to sites that were specifically designed for wap use. its nice to be able to go on any website. the phone itself is pretty nice, its nice and heavy and has a good feel in your hand. the slider is a bit loose, like if your holding it upto your head you can feel the slider moving with your fingers on the side of the phone. if it had just a little more resistance it would be perfect so it didnt move when you pushed on it just slightly. the thing i really think is the best is that its got the trackball like the blackberry so you dont have to always use the touch screen. the touch screen is nice, it might be a bit too sensitive cause if you bump it in your pocket and its not on the screen saver mode its going to dial somebody or do something you dont want it to do. the draw back is that you have to open it to text message, there is no on screen touch keyboard like on the iphone. i needs to have both the qwerty hardware and qwerty software keyboards so you can use it in either open or closed to send txt messages. the maps and gps features are pretty good. it doesnt talk the directions, but the ability to change the views to street view is pretty cool. over all i like it better than the blackberry perl.

Congrats on the phone!! Watch out for EMF's a study done recently has positive indications of brain tumors so get a tube type ear piece rather than a bluetooth, they suggested. I am looking into one myself and will post if I find out anything. Peace! Bad...

Mine is scheduled for delivery on November 10th. Looking forward to this thing.

I haven't upgraded my free phone in years. This is a big leap in cellphones for me.

its kind of strange when you first get it. but youll quickly get used to it and youll wonder how you lived without it.

If I'm not mistaken I believe WeedTracker is talking about the new T-Mobile Google G1 phone (right?) which is supposed to be T-mobile's answer to the iPhone. So yeah its basically an iPhone with a qwerty keyboard.

If you download Vtap onto your phone you will be able to watch all Youtube videos.
