A big tower that goes on and off from time to time. With lots of plugs comming out of it. Works great to soften my Mom's Medible cannabalm.
( I would swear by it for skin aliments and aches and pains)

Hooked via cable line (time warner)

I have 2 - 17" flat-screen monitors that let me drag across and work on both.

Hp Photosmart 7760 color printer

Epson 3170 Photo scanner.

And far too many personal email accounts. and a kewl web site with so many kewl photos.

my computer is pretty awesome but my 3rd harddrive is starting to fail and lock up.

with the prices now and days, i should just pick up a TB harddrive instead of having 3 small harddrives wasting system resources.

My computer is new and I love it!!!

It's a smokin' Compaq laptop. I've got a wireless keyboard and mouse and a 22" HP flat panel hooked up to it. So, I get it going, close the lid and put it away while I'm using the wireless keyboard and mouse to the monitor like a desktop. If I need to roam while computing, well gosh, I just unhook the monitor and wireless for the mouse and keyboard and I'm good to roam around with it as a laptop.

I am stoked, couldn't be happier.

Compaq Laptop: $449.00 (3 gigs of ram, Intel dual core, 250 gig hard drive, dvd w, 5 card reader, video cam and mic built in, 15.6" monitor, Vista Premium, Microsoft Works.
Insurance on laptop, everything but theft, includes accidental damage, 2-years: $99.00.
HP 22" flat panel: $298.00 (it's got the kind of panel you can rotate in all directions.

So, for...roughly 850, I got a desktop and and a smokin' laptop, all in one, with insurance that includes accidental damage.

It took a few weeks to shop out that price, but it was worth it. I could not find any laptop in this price range with these features until I located this one at OfficeMax.

If you need help finding a new computer, lemme know, be happy to point you in the right direction!

my computer...

Vista 64bit on a 3gHz Core2Duo processor, 4 gigs DDR2 RAM, nVidia 8600GT video card, just over 2 Terabytes formatted storage space on 5 hard drives, Samsung 25.5inch LCD monitor....

and I need(want) more horsepower....

I do Photoshop (CS4) and use big files, some of my in-process images are near a gigabyte in size....

Intel i7 quad core @3gHz
12Gigs DDR3 RAM
Dual nVidia GTX260 video cards
2- 150gig 10000rpm drives in raid1 for sys disk
3- 300gig 10000rpm drives in raid5 for working disk

already use:
razer diamondback mouse, reclusa keyboard, Wacom 6 x11 Intous3 digitizing pad

I am going to go ahead and set up my second LCD (22 inch Samsung) for more desktop real estate (with only the one video card it didnt work all that well with my current box)....

I commonly find myself with Photoshop, Lightroom, iTunes, Firefox and Newsbin going at once.... but the big files on Photoshop are the only things that slow me down....

I want the lights to dim in eleven western states when I power up.....

I use CueBase4 for recording guitar and stuff, never a problem on these resources -- and I'll have 5 or six other memory intensive programs running simultaneously. When I do recording, I turn off Vista and Turn on Windows XP view and I turn off the HP software, both memory hogs, and it's seamless computing when they're off. I am amazed at what I got for so cheap. I'm gonna add another gig of ram and see if I can keep Vista on during recording.

When I need more desktop real estate, I open the laptop and do the "extended desktop".

Funny, you can use both mouses and keyboards when you open the laptop. So, I'll turn to the laptop, get it going via the laptop touch pad and keyboard, toss programs over to the extended desktop, turn to the monitor station, get those going from the wireless keyboard and mouse, it's like having two computers and a monitor 3 feet wide!

yeah ---photoshop is a processor killer. actually indesign can be tough on memory and processor speed as well. i often find myself working on large publications w/ lots of hi-rez photos & graphics.....brings my old G4 to it's knees.

I have 2 Hard drives
1) 80 gig (used 38 gb)
2) 120 gig (used 7 gb)

2.00 GB of Ram
Computer: AMD Athlon (tm) XP 3000+

The second one hardly has anything on it.
It's been a long time since I had access to that 2nd drive. so I mirrored everything onto my 1st. drive incase it should fail.

Actually, I have most of the parts needed to build you smokin' XP or Vista PC for cheap. Lemme know!
