For any of you who might think there have ALWAYS been personal computers... and mice...and word processing.. and hyperlinking....

As far as I know, this was the first public demonstration of all of these ideas for a "personal computer"

if you watch much of the video, and are at all entertained by history, think about how far sighted this research team really WAS, and how much of what they are introducing has now become common place....

i learned to count from playin with these cards, when i was just a small sprout . my mother worked with computers that were taller than a man, and filled a whole room.

i vaguely remember seeing some that looked like this as well. but my mom sported a beehive (goddess bless her soul).... and she could out dance any computer geek hands down....or feet down in this case
