So I was thinking about Jailbreaking my iphone but before I do I wanted to get those Iphone users opinions on this.

Is it worth jailbreaking the phone

What would be the disadvantage of Jailbreaking it

any chance of bricking the phone

and finally does anyone know of a simple app or something I can use to jailbreak the phone.

it is unlocking the Iphone so you can use 3rd 3rd party apps that arent approved through apple as well as many other programs that you cant get through the app store or itunes.

Gives you more options for the phone than what are already loaded.

IMO, you should jailbreak your iphone. You can look up QuickPWN to jailbreak your phone, you need to make sure what firmware version you have and jailbreak accordingly. You will need to download QuickPWN for the version of firmware you have and also download the firmware again as QuickPWN requires it.

Jackbreaking and unlocking are different. Jailbreaking allows you to install 3rd party apps not offered by Itunes. Unlocking allows you to use your iphone on other carriers. If you plan on just using ATT then jailbreaking your phone will be sufficient.

once you jailbreak, it will install INSTALLER, CYDIA, and WINTERBOARD. Installer and Cydia is an app in which you can download all sorts of other programs including different themes for your iphone. Winterboard will allow you to install these themes. As you know, you can not change the background where all your icons are located, Winterboard allows you to do this..

thanks alot man, yea I checked out that quickPwn site and it seemed easy enough, so is there any problems that I should know about when doing this, from what I read it does not seem that there is any issues but from your experience have you noticed any performance issues after you jailbroke your phone or weird problems occur.

I have not experienced any problems with jailbreaking my iphone so far.. "knock on wood". If you ever need to take your iphone back to ATT you can just restore the original settings. Just be sure to follow the instructions exactly otherwise it won't work.
