Hi everyone,

I was just wondering how many of you own a iPhone? I got one as a gift last xmas and I simply LOVE IT. I mean dang, you can check WT whenever you want!

Does anyone else have one, and know of any tips or tricks? Share with the rest of us!

i want one, but i hate at&t so i dont have one. someday i will.. im also waiting till the price of the flashdrives that power the iphone come down in price dramatically tword the end of this year and begining of next year. they will have 100gb iphones for $199 in a year.. youll see..

I'm getting the $199 iPhone as soon as it is available. I am already with
AT&T. So I will pay an additional $25/month to upgrade my service to
include the 3G Network internet plan. My total monthly bill will be around
$90, including all fees.

Yeah i still like the 1st gen too. I haven't bought the new one yet. Probably will next week. The one i got now is still working perfectly fine.

Still love the first one, the main difference for me is that the 3G is way faster, side by side with mine it loaded Yahoo.com twice as fast. Plus the all black is pretty nice. Other than that no real difference.

Love my first gen 8gig too, however i think in the next month im going to switch to the new 3g version, thank god for unlocks too, I have just a ton of downloads and progrmas that make the iphone justt that much better!:partysmile:

have you guys heard about tethering your 3G iphone to your laptop so you can get internet anywhere. you guys might wanna check it out, it's pretty sweet.

I really need to stress the fact that the new iPhone 2.0 is a total ripoff. Sure its cheaper for the actual phone, but the services are almost double.

Best way to go with an iphone is unlock it and go with t-mobile. $25 over 2 years is $600.

Yeah iphone on T-mobile rox but when it comes to 3G I hear the coverage is spotty no matter what service you use.. I still use an OG iphone.

I had the original 8G the day it came out. Loved it for a year, but got in a car accident about a month ago and shattered the touch screen. I tried to use it for a couple of weeks, but it was hard to text or read them!

I went in and asked how much to fix it. "$200 to fix it, or $200 to buy a new one." I bought a new one. I was wary of the new charges, but it's only like $15 more. I got the white one!

thats what i want to do, but im afraid of it becoming a brick and being useless.

I had one of the original ones and I hated it. It used to constantly drop calls and get so hot I had to stop using it. Do any of you have those problems with the 3G? Cause I want to get one but my experience is impeding me.

I've had my iPhone a while now and I still love it. I just got a Labyrinth app for it the other day that's a ravamp of the old game with a maze, marbles and holes.

I'm so addicted, that game is perfect on the iPhone. Whenever I'm waiting in a line or have some time to kill it's a great waste of a few minutes and a great stress reducer.

The Etch a sketch app is a bit more difficult, but still fun to play :D

and being able to remote control your iTunes folders on your desktop from across the room with your phone = Awesome. I love technology.

I had an 8gb 2nd gen and loved it.

Got the new 3G version and love it even more. I get 3G service just about everywhere. And it really makes a difference compared to the Edge network.

Only shitty thing is there are some bugs and my screen will black out sometimes. No biggie just annoying.

If you want an unlocked one without any hassle get one from france weather it be by someone that happens to be going there or a french online retailer who will ship to the USA or just try the Paris section of Craigslist.

In France it it illegal to lock a phone to a provider so any iphone sold in France has to be unlocked for any GSM carrier(SIM card based).

Also according to the Digital Millenium Copyright Act of 1997 if you have a contract with a cell carrier and your phone is locked to that carrier and you complete your contract with said carrier they have to provide you(upon request) the IMEI unlock code for your phone. Most carriers will give you this code if you have had service for several months and plan on traveling outside of their primary coverage area in order to allow you to use an alternate SIM card but AT&T will not provide unlock codes for the iphone or at least until someone has ran thru a 2-year contract that AT&T required for the purchase/activation of the iphone.
