I think my ipod broke

All I was doing was listening to a song and it freezes up on me. I plugged the power supply in to see if it would reset something..but nothing has worked.
I can't even get it to turn off..any thoughts on this..

Re: I think my ipod broke

Proverbs 27

Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth. 2Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips. 3A stone is heavy, and the sand weighty; but a fool’s wrath is heavier than them both. 4Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who is able to stand before envy? 5Open rebuke is better than secret love. 6Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful. 7The full soul loatheth an honeycomb; but to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet. 8As a bird that wandereth from her nest, so is a man that wandereth from his place. 9Ointment and perfume rejoice the heart: so doth the sweetness of a man’s friend by hearty counsel. 10Thine own friend, and thy father’s friend, forsake not; neither go into thy brother’s house in the day of thy calamity: for better is a neighbour that is near than a brother far off. 11My son, be wise, and make my heart glad, that I may answer him that reproacheth me. 12A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished. 13Take his garment that is surety for a stranger, and take a pledge of him for a strange woman. 14He that blesseth his friend with a loud voice, rising early in the morning, it shall be counted a curse to him. 15A continual dropping in a very rainy day and a contentious woman are alike. 16Whosoever hideth her hideth the wind, and the ointment of his right hand, which bewrayeth itself. 17Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. 18Whoso keepeth the fig tree shall eat the fruit thereof: so he that waiteth on his master shall be honoured. 19As in water face answereth to face, so the heart of man to man. 20Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied. 21As the fining pot for silver, and the furnace for gold; so is a man to his praise. 22Though thou shouldest bray a fool in a mortar among wheat with a pestle, yet will not his foolishness depart from him. 23Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds. 24For riches are not for ever: and doth the crown endure to every generation? 25The hay appeareth, and the tender grass sheweth itself, and herbs of the mountains are gathered. 26The lambs are for thy clothing, and the goats are the price of the field. 27And thou shalt have goats’ milk enough for thy food, for the food of thy household, and for the maintenance for thy maidens.

i can relate, i love my ipod as well. don't know what i'd do without it.

this one isn't mine, its my friends we traded ipods for a week. he has like 3600 songs and over 10 movies..i think thats a little over board. thats why its all screwed up. i would restore it but, i dnt want to delete its contents by accident. so now i have to wait till tuesday till i can get mine back

But (of all the darn things) yesterday - (before I read this) I went "got to have tune - try it again" and

I put it into its 'doc' and WHAMM it worked!!! (yahoo)

=========

I played it all day - but "just" set it to PLAY LISTS (which I have a few) and

Let them play all the way through and

DID NOT TOUCH 'me pod' - UNTILL the play list was done and no music and back to start screen ...

it worked ALL day cookin' from its doc ...
(Phuee)

and THIS AM I just got up - and waited until the lady was up and then hit PLAY LIST ... my long drive one - and BAM it was ON -- and working just fine.

SOOOO, in my case, I think it FREEZES when I change tunes too much.

---------

Also NOTE - I LOVE MY I-pod and am a 60 yearold dude going on 18 (on my better days) - that was Dx-ed with Cancer this April (few months ago) and when my I-pod froze this last time and woundn't come back; I was sure it was another sign.

AND I had been 'getting better' (read: Tumor shrinking) then it stopped shrinking - and I just KNEW that 'me-pod' dead was a sure sign that life was endiing!!!

-- which is a REAL F*N TOTAL BUMMER - espically as my life ROCKS TOTALLY espically having the most AMZAING daughter and also a KILLER GIRL FREIND ... and with the New AG Guidelines -- if I go on - all the player haters will go off on hating .. ha ha ha ..

But now 'me-pod' (ya its a stander I-pod bought whhen they came out - my AMAZING kid wanted one - and I went "how does this work"
(Hell I'm so old I have records,
I'm so old - I have 4 and 8 tracks
I'm so old I think Cessets are NEW!
I'm so old that CD's are VERY NEW!
(chuckle)

but not old enough NOT to listen to my AMAZING daughter (now 21) who goes dad - chefk this out - I'd really like one ...

So I did reseradch and went "Of course SHE NEEDS ONE - but SO DO I"

--- anyway it was the X-mas they came out - and there were NONE around + we live in the 'bonnies' -- as it were so their were FOR SURE non- around ..

But the "bonnies' we live in ARE the coolest 'bonnies' so I called Apple and said "Look I AM THE Dark Lord and my kid (Hellspawn) NEEDS a F*N I-pod for X-mas and I didn't find out but the week before - so I don't care what it takes - you have to ship me one ... and tolld them where I live - and they DID IT - and my kid had an I-pod for x-mass ...!!!

--- she had just got back from France and had told my (dreaded) ex-wife about wanting one -- so of course "The best dad" on the F*n plante HAD to get her one...

So X-mass eve she's over at our place and we give her all her "lame' gifts - then in a dirty old shopping bag - I go "Oh and we got this for you"

she totally freaked out --

but here is the best part she showed ME SOULSEEK - in her 'this is so cool you woun't belive this'

-- the next day I had one for my self ordered - and spent the next MONTHS CONSTANTLY FILLING IT --

Then I got an AP_ that I can move stuff off and on it - with out I-tunes (I'm old but I AM a quick F*n study!!!) --- and have a 300 Gig hard drive filled with tunes, books on tape, lectures and plays ... (he he he) ...

I LOVE MY I-POD

Oh NOTE: my kid doesn't have this 'freeze' problem - and plays here's all the time - but her's is NOT FULL - she keeps her tunes on an exteranl hard drive - and her's is about 1/4 full at any time - she's always pulling stuff off it and then back on it ...

So I really think it may have something to do with how chocked full mine (and yorus??) is - I'm out of space - and I do know that with computers they screw up if they don't have enough space on the hard drive to 'deal' with stuff - the processer uses that extra hard drive space (in the stack) to shuffle as memory to do shit -

So I "imagine' that with a full I-pod it MAY be the same thing - when I'm seraching and a song is playing - and I'm switching up in the middle -

Other wise it don't freak -- but you know I'll be in the middle of something and go "Oh I want to hear this" or show off or something .. and keep switching --

I think I'm going to try dropping some of the TONS of music off the I-pod and see if that helps. Hell I have my 3 or 4 fav shakespear plays on there too - and all kinds of lecctures and crap ... that I don't "need" (ahum) .. and OBSCURE METAL that I don't always liten to - got to have "Flight 09" HOT Ubestan metal (ha ha ha - and only one song I REALLY like by them - "sleeper awakes" -- gawds talk abour HARD CORE old school (zep like) metal with NEW KILLER LERICS = wow!

anyway - too busy to do that now - so maybe JUST keep my grubby hands off the 'chaging tunes in mid stream" -- trip!!!

or

Its ALL about ATITUTED - its ALL about the WILL ..
