Hi!

I'm with AT&T and have a Sony Ericsson w760a. It's quite nice for a Sony Walkman phone, but the battery life seems to be too short and the screen is a bit small and the rotation feature on the screen flip sometimes has to be selected within the program to get it to flip. The call quality and sound quality of the Walkman are all 100%, as good as it gets for a phone at this price point. The computer is a bit slow and there's a few wait times for downloads and installs as compared to cable service and such, but that keeps the battery life up, the heat down, and it's a hint slow, I'm being picky. Some people would think it fast compared to other phones. Oh, it's got an FM radio and the phone can be used as a modem via a usb cable and AT&T does allow tethering, for $60.00 per month for 5-gigs. It's got an html browser with a mouse pointer controlled by a very fast and perfectly responsive nav key, tons of games and tools and video and web at no extra charge, and a bunch of great music and video services for a bit extra every month, for the aforementioned you need to have the $15.00 a month unlimited internet. The phone has everything but a qwerty keyboard and Windows Mobile but their interface is ...just as useful outside of not having Office, which is what I prefer to use on my laptop anyways and via my USB AT&T Sierra Modem, ha. The Sierra modem is smokin' fast and the 5gig limitation is perfect for my usage, *and* it's got free wi-fi with a map of the nearest hot-spots! It's camera is okay (3.2 mp, no zoom on pics, 4x digital zoom on vids).

...what phone has the features of the Sony but has a bigger screen with the same sound quality *and* a better camera and a qwerty keyboard?

I've read the reviews and seen the vids of a bunch of phones. This one gets real high ratings. The next Sony better be better...faster, bigger screen, touch screen and a camera with a zoom. This one just takes really clear big, medium, and small photos that are quite nice but you have to resize the images or the camera creates huge files. It has 4x zoom on the video, which is pretty good, not sony camera nice, however. It's got a panoramic setting, and then some. Its own editing software.

So, yeah. Definitely. A better camera!

The next sony is coming out towards the end of this month, and AT&T hasn't cemented the deal on that model, yet. It's nice. I may send this one back and wait for that one, that is...if I want to part with this one. It's nice as far as a walkman/cell/quick-internet phone goes, but I do want something better!

Any recommendations for an full-on AT&T 3G phone?

Also, any recs for Bluetooth headsets and corded headsets (you need the corded headset for the antenna for the FM radio)???

Thank you. That phone is still on my short list.

The only things that are holding me back on that phone are spending $199.00 when I can keep this one for free, it has no auto focus on the camera, you can't tether it on AT&T (to the best of my knowledge) and no FM radio. I've got another 12-days to decide!

I thought maybe I might be missing one phone out of the bunch that just didn't catch my eye or mind or something.

I may just have to wait for the new Sony!

Also, add to the rec, an on-screen qwerty board is okay as opposed to the slide out.

I got a Nokia E71 x for sale 150 special WT price. Full QWERTY, 3G, brand new, has Microsoft Office mobile phone version, Wi-Fi capable etc. etc.

It really depends on what you want to get, if you are looking for IPhone or Blackberry remember they have pricey data plans. ( I know I had one lol)

But there are quiet a few out there that are cheaper but are not recommended Samsung Blackjack is one of them so be careful...also the blackberry Bold has issues with the software for now so watch out.

If you decide to go with the Iphone the 32GB is 299 and the 16GB is 199 but you have to pre-order the 16GB and it takes 4 to 5 days.

I got a buddy that works at ATT if you have a any questions shoot me a PM, I'll find out anything you need pretty much.

I read all about the phones you discussed, however, I didn't give the Nokia E71 x a real hard look due to some consistent bad feedback on the phone, yet so did this Sony get negative feedback, thus far, all BS with the exception of the battery life, which thus far is true. It'll last maybe 12-hours with full-on usage, maybe! It's not as bad as the old days, but if you're a heavy user with unlimited calling and mobile internet...the battery will drain, fast. I'll betcha I can drain the battery in 6-hours whereas some other phones will last a full day.

Feel free to PM me the info, I'll contact your friend before I make my final decision, I'd like to keep and insure the phones I get on plans, I like worry free plan phones, the 5 bucks is always worth it.

I spent some time looking at videos and the specs of this phone. Wow! It is a full-featured phone but-for the lack of zoom on the camera. It's got an FM radio, it's tetherable, full-on keyboard. NICE! Excellent recommendation.

I took a hard look at this phone too...HFS. ah-mazing phone. That thing is fast! Tons of battery time too. BUT, it's $299.00 and it's almost 6 ounces and it's nearly an inch thick! It's not tetherable (not listed on AT&T features). And there's no FM radio...

Out of the 3; the sony, the nokia, the fuze...if they would combine all the features of these three phones into one...I think I'm gonna get the new Sony if AT&T gets that phone!

This one, the battery won't cut it without a car charger or a quick charger or an extra battery during a very busy day. It's got web limitations due to no qwerty board and a smaller screen.

Out of the 3, the fuze seems to be the most useful, the Sony's got the best sound, and the Nokia is the happy medium. I'm gonna checkout the Nokia in person next.

Police in central Sweden are on the hunt for a gang of tattooed women who sexually molested a 50-year-old man as he was riding by on his bicycle.

The incident took place around 9pm on July 8th as the man was cycling down Vintergatan in central Örebro, the Aftonbladet newspaper reports.

Suddenly, someone grabbed hold of the rack on the back of the man’s bike, causing him to fall to the ground.

“The girls ran up to him and pulled the bicycle down so he fell,” Örebro police spokesperson Annika Haaster told the newspaper.

As the man was lying defenceless on the ground, the women proceeded to pull off his trousers and underwear and molest him sexually before fleeing the scene.

According to police, the 50-year-old was not otherwise beaten or physically assaulted by the gang of five girls.

The victim told police that the girl who actually pulled down the bicycle was about 175 centimetres (5 feet, 7 inches) tall and had tattoos on her forearms.

Authorities are hoping that tips from the public can help them apprehend the suspects responsible for the bizarre attack.

“It’s downright unusual for five girls [to do something like this]. Perhaps there are others who’ve had the same thing happen to them,” Haaster told Aftonbladet.

I'll check-out the Bang & Olufen's -- headphones are critical.

I'm starting to luv this Sony as I put it through the rigors.
Of course, now that I've got things bookmarked, it's...bang, bang, bang, quite fast and I'm wasting a lot less battery life as I am getting things setup and just using the phone!

I downloaded Opera Mini -- it is freakin' nice, much much faster than AT&T's MediaNet browser.

I found a few mobile web sites that have good content, plus a lot of the web sites I use have great mobile sites too.

As I get further into AT&T's MediaNet, I'm finding some descent stuff.

The one thing I like very much about this phone, ya never miss a call or a message, it gets your attention one way or another.

Has anybody tried the LG VU??? Wirefly has it on special for free with a Bluetooth headset *and* it comes with a chorded headset from the factory!

Finally! The new Sony Ericsson with a legitimate camera is on the market. BUT, it's $179.00. I'm gonna checkout Wirefly to see if they've got it for less.

I know I've been scrutinized heavily, particularly after I was quite vocal and active about the draft the Reagan administration tried to put-over on Americans back in the day! I was in front of post offices and shopping malls protesting the proposed draft and handing out anti-draft info, and back then..."they" walked right up to you with a camera to get a mug shot and they audibly tapped your phone, they were not as sophisticated as they are today. Now? cuz I want hemp and medical marijuana put into mass production and I'm speaking out against the masonic conspiracy...I know I am one of their favorite shows!

But, I know hemp is a vital resource, marijuana is a medicine, and the masons are corrupt and I don't violate any laws. So, they cannot harass me any further within the law, they'd have to break the law to oppress me any further!

Anyways, after I downloaded Opera Mini, I finally visited the WT via my cell phone, it works! You don't get to see much of the icons, but you can see all the text and reply to posts. But still, this phone falls short of my needs for web browsing, it's too primitive. I think what I am gonna do is keep this phone for music and a telephone and I'll use my USB account for the web.

None of the phones are worth paying the extra cash right now, not even the new Sony! I can keep this phone for a phone and portable music with the option to use the net in an emergency, use my laptop with the USB modem for net access, and buy a killer Sony camera instead of getting the new phone with the better but still marginal camera.

Settled!

I just find it hard to believe that you really believe half of the things you said over in the hemp threads. You know why I feel that way? Because you're WAY TOO SMART to believe in that stuff. It just doesn't fit. You show incredible wisdom in so many other topics of discussion around here, that it just didn't seem like anything other than a joke when you started claiming Obama conspiracies or whatever the hell it was.

Second, no I don't think I'm that important. I don't believe anything I said there, in a post that obviously needs to be taken with tongue-planted-firmly-in-cheek. Honestly, I don't think ANYONE cares about me.
