It should boot form the recovery disk, and should allow you to run the Windows Repair mode, that is where it will be through ever Windows file and make sure it is correct. I can make phone calls if necessary. We'll get you through this. peace and love zb1 |

...but let's try to get into Safe Mode , hit F8 when the computer logo appears. See if you can go that, if you get into the black screen, use your arrows to go up to Safe Mode and hit enter. Get into safe mode, exit safe mode and try to reboot normally. Sometimes this will jar things and they will correct themselves. Let me know

Power down, unplug everything (printer etc. except keyboard and mouse.Got another keyboard and mouse???? Plug a different keyboard and mouse in. Let's just eliminate that it is the hardware. If that makes no change, which I don't think it will then I am wondering if a driver is corrupt? If it is then it would need to be reinstalled. Also when it tells you a file is bad, what file are they referring to? S

Most HD have a built in diagnostic tool, but if Missy is not able to navigate using a keyboard she may have a problem getting to this tool. Missy I'll PM you my home number... doing this way is ridiculous. S

My problems started after my daughter downloaded a movie from limewire ,when I was gone, even after I told her not to do It. Virus or something I guess.Sounds like my comp was doing the exact same thing that yours is doing. I ended up having to buy a whole new stack:tsad: but I love my new system |
