Rep Power: 390 | Converting DIVX to DVD Im stuck, several people are telling me how thwy convert divx to dvd. In all Ive dowloaded many programs, dvd rip, nero, and so on. Ive got the compress dvd, in fact I count 15 programs that are for DVDs playing, editing stc. Not one just lets me take divx file and make it or convert it to be burned in DVD format. Everyone claims they do it using the free software but it doesnt work for me so Im not about to buy one without knowing its going to be converting my files so I can playback on most dvd devices. How do you rip videos, is your software free or did you buy one and later like it or hate it? Divx is awesome its playback is limited as you know so some files i have are avi whats that? Rep Power: 0 | Re: Converting DIVX to DVD Alright! Finally a subject on the tracker that I can actually help with! Do a google search for "samsung divx" , samsung has several stand alone DVD players with built in divx....samsung signed a multi-year agreement with divx. The players can be had for around $40...alll the way up to home theater with built in divx! I have one and it plays almost everything I throw at it! Including multiple divx movies on the same DVD! That would be the absolute easiest way, no conversion required. To convert divx to dvd (VOB files) I use NERO VISION 4 to get the best results. I have tried just about all the other software previously mentioned, NERO VISION 4 on up is the easiest to use in my opinion. Hope this helps!!! |

Rep Power: 6724 | Re: Converting DIVX to DVD Hey guys, the PC Doctor here. I've been downloading videos (movies, avi,divx,mpeg,mpeg4,etc) and burning them to DVD/SVCD for as long as i can remember. I have found the easiest, most straight forward program is WinAvi. Simply click on the DVD button, upload your video file, and press 'Ok'. Then after its done, simply put in a blank DVD+/-R and click on 'BURN'. Search for the newly created VOB files and off ya go. Standard movie conversion for me takes about 1 to 1 1/2 hrs to convert and burn. Video files typically 750Mb to 1.35Gb. Its not a free program but there are ways of finding it on the internet though. Matter of fact, the install file I have is only 4.31Mb with a list of serials. I can compress it and email it to you if you like. If you find this program usefull you can always buy it from the Manufacturer. let me know. Mykl1666@hotmail.com All PC questions welcome. |
