Rep Power: 177267       | cannabis spider? so i was reading on the internet the last few days and i found out that alexa is now offering public access to its web crawl database. thats huge news! for a few bucks an hour they will let you crawl their database with your own spider. so im thinking of developing a cannabis spider that would troll the net for pics and strain info and insert it into the strain database automatically. for example it could find all the forum topics on the whole net about a specific strain. that would be so awsome! |

There are a couple stand-alone spider programs you could use, feed them the results of a google search or something.. i've done it before when digging up information on prospective employees when I was working in human resources.. Of course, then you're operating on your own resources and not those of someone else, so YMMV as to the value of it. |
