The 25 rule was started to reduce spam and other inappropriate behavior (ie: sales). Beyond that, the site's focus is on community and we encourage people to participate. Hopefully my last PM will help a bit. 25 isn't too much and you might find your self having fun rather quickly. Oh, and keep in mind that bumping is part of the forum guidelines.

If you have any questions you can contact the support center until you have your 25 posts to contact mods/admins. Again, welcome to the site!
