I am looking to see what everyone thinks is the best strain to knock you out!! I have brain cancer which also gives me insomnia amongst a whole lot of other side effects that I am trying to get a handle on!! The insomnia and losing my eyesight are my two major problems right now, so any info. would be appreciated!!! :slaugh:

The only thing I can still get my hands on that would even come close to providing any kind of comfort for what you have would probably be Northern Lights #2. I've got other "all time favorites" that might fit the bill as well, but like I said, dunno where they're at right now.

The Master P from SCC (So-Cal Co-Op) in Tarzana, knocks me to slumberland within minutes of taking 2-3 hits.
It is a very heavy body numbing high, that not only eases you to sleep, but rids my body of 90% of my back pain instantly.

A close second, would be the Platinum OG from PAP (Patients Against Pain) in NoHo.

wow---just goes to show how everybodies body chemistry is so different. i picked up the 91 Valley 2 wks ago (probably same batch)---and i find it very upbeat and motivating. it would probably keep me awake if i smoked it past 7pm. AWESOME batch of og btw--love it.

i have sleeping problems as well. i don't have problems falling asleep, but i have major problems staying asleep. for me blackberry or a very heavy purple (GDP) will knock me out. but if i want to guarantee a full nite's sleep, i have to consume potent edibles. concentrates work great as well, but i will still wake up around 2:30 and have to have a couple more hits to fall back asleep.

Pre 98 Bubba, LA Confidential, Lavender, Dragonfly, Hash Plant and Ken's Grandaddy all work very well for me when grown properly. Indica salad bowls also work well.

Only 2 of them on your list I have not tried!!!! lol The indica salad bowls are pretty good!!! But sometimes just not enough to do the trick!!! :slaugh:

all good coments... but to really get that knock out punch; hash.

Add a litttle to whatever your smoking and have a nice restfull sleep.
eatables are good too eat a non-sugared food an hour before you want to sleep.

dude, sorry to hear about your condition. But making med milk with Indicas seems to be the best thing for me. i deal with chronic pain and edibles made from oils (veggie or olive) helps me a great deal. sorry to hear youre not feeling well. I too use MM for pain management. I must agree with the above and say that edibles are a great addition. I have found that indicas work for pain and some sativas are good for sleep. I would suggest having a nice edible ( not sugared if poss) and then a few hits of a nice sativa( Bullrider mabey) This should help nad if it doesnt you should at least feel better. much love ti you

Absolutely correct about the body chemistry thing, cd! I tried the Blackberry because I had read numerous posts about its sleep-inducing qualities; however, it just did not do the trick for me, unfortunately. It sort of revs me up a bit--not like a sativa, but enough to make it a tad difficult to go to sleep. : (

At the moment, Ingrid is my favorite for sleep. I find it so relaxing, calming, and definitely analgesic. God's Gift is very similar for me, though perhaps with not quite as much analgesic properties.

Still, if you've a high tolerance, wallawall, you'll very likely want to consider indica concentrates and edibles.

Ingrid is a very potent indica, and if you add some earwax to it, then it will work better then NYQUIL.

I think any Real Purple will help you sleep. any of these should help put you to sleep: GDP,Mr.nice guy,purple erkle,purple passion,purps... hope that helps you my friend!

...and wake up with a hang-over (the good kind) :D I recently tried the Hindu Kush, as I too have problems going to sleep, and it worked pretty well. Anyways, my personal favorite indica would have to be the Af-Pak. I've never been sedated more quickly and/or heavily than anything else and its got this wonderful taste.

my Hindu naps are an 8.0 but lately these Master Kush topped with Sour Diesel kif have had me waking up wondering where I went. 10.0 on the sleep
