Rep Power: 14 | Pain/Sleep suggestions Okay fellow Weedtrackees I need your imput. I'm Caregiving for a guy who's 77, has diabetes, conjestive heart failure, kidney issues and heart troubles in general. The main problem is his gout though. It causes extreem muscle cramping and pain/sleeplessness. Usually we can keep it under control with diet, but sometimes not. He can't smoke, only vape and eat, though cookies aren't an option either. I have very little expirience with mmj so I thought I'd reach out to the community and see if anyone had any advice on, well, really anything. To be honest, I'm a bit over my head here. Any gout (or really just pain sufferers) here would be great, (those with sleep trouble too), or anyone with strain/medication advice would be much apprecieated. Thanks in advance! |

Rep Power: 222 | Re: Pain/Sleep suggestions I don't suffer from such severe symptons and god bless, but I found a few strains that are straight pain numbing and hope this helps. Go to LCC in sunland for there pk and super og. I've given it to a few people who suffer from immense pain and it helped them a lot. Especially, to eat and sleep. For what it's worth, I was just having fun earlier after a really bad exp from fairfax. Nothing personal and hope everything works out for you and your patient. Keep it positive. |

Always use a first press extra virgin high-grade olive oil. Pour it into a glass jar with the cannabis. 1/2 ounce cannabis to 12 oz. olive oil. Store it in a cool dark area, (like you would a good red wine). Shake container once a day. Usually it takes a minimum of 2 weeks, 30 days is best. Patient takes it by the tablespoon. It helps pain and treats insomnia. Also very healthy with good fats. Always keep in airtight container as any oil will oxidize once its open. Adjust recipe as needed for patient.

Rep Power: 169 | Re: Pain/Sleep suggestions Sounds good to me, but it works even better in my experience by heating the oil to 140*, for 30min but I use vegetable oil too. Neat concept I'll have to try it. |

Rep Power: 14 | Re: Pain/Sleep suggestions Wow, thank you so much guys! I will definateally try that if I can. Do you think you can cook with the olive oil, or should you just take it cold? I know that heats the element that releases the THC, but I think he'll have some troubles with a teaspoon of straight oil. (btw did I mention that he's very resistant to accepting cannabis in any form.) He will take it, but only when the pain gets so bad that it's mmj or the hospital. |

Also I did find the PK from TLCC to be quite sleepy too, I hadn't been able to find a strain that really put me out, but that PK did. If it can put me to sleep, it can put anyone to sleep.
