A nice blend of sativa and indica can actually be quite sleep inducing as I've found out recently. I've been mixing my og kush with some juicy fruit. Pretty potent, and tastes much better than straight juicy fruit!

Sativas usually work well for me. The more racy and up, the better. Concentrates have helped me with panic attacks. I need a really strong sativa to catch up to my racing thoughts and bring me back down to earth without too much of a crash (I always seem to land on my head).

Certainly not a sleep remedy though! But I do sleep much better if I'm not manic or panicking.

edit:Some that have worked especially well : Blue Dream, SS Sativa, Kali Mist, 3rd Eye, Holy Hawaiian, Jack Herer, Silver Haze, Doc's Haze, Island Sweet Skunk, Super Wreck, Double Purple Doja, Green Crack(more of a hybrid than a sativa, I find it to be sativa dom and VERY good for anxiety), J27, the mushroom scented pheno of White Widow, Strawberry Cough and Chemdawg.

Mind you, this will not work for everyone. I can see it doing exactly the opposite for some, so do be careful and start slow. This works very well for me though, has for a long time.

Edit:Indicas I save for nightime, because I don't usually like couchlock during the day. They are essential for me at night though, I need something to scramble my thoughts so I can stop thinking and sleep, otherwise I just lay there for hours

I agree with you^^^ Trainwreck has always been a good one for me, consistently for 5 or 6 years. Grabs your attention, and racy enough to keep up with a panic attack, but not racy in a way that will make it worse (not for me at least). A panic attack has your mind racing so fast, from one thing to another, and your mood swinging all over the place. TW has really helped me find my center in such situations. The Afghani is an important part of the effect, because it really grabs you, that's the best way to explain the feeling. This is a reassuring feeling to me, and balances perfectly with the racieness from the Lowland thai and Mexican sativa. It really is an ideal strain in my opinion, there's certainly a reason it's so popular.

Ive had anxiety issues with bubba kush(I), sensai star(I), blue dream(I/S), Sour diesil (S) Maui Wowie (I) and Purple Erkle (I)

but have recently found that Trainwreck(S) and GrandDaddy Purple (I) both work fantastically on pain relief, calming and sleeping (al beit sleeping on trainwreck requires concentration as it has a very uplifting effect, but neither gave me an agressive sense of being out of control like the others that caused me much anxiety.

as the causes for anxiety are very much based on the person it is no wonder how different strains work for different people and how important it is to find the strains that work for you. for instance, trainwreck is one of top strains listed as anxiety inducing in many patients while it works for you. i love the complexity of this herb.

so i think i found a sweet 1-2 hit combo that brings on the zzzzzzzzzz.
Well, first of i've had sleeping disorders for about 18 years now. from sleeping only 3 hours a night, or taking me 4 hours to fall sleep bad.
so the usual meds supplied by our good docs, have fallen short of working; or even when they have worked (before you have built up a tolerance to it) they have failed to induce sleep the natural body way. They feel like your a basketball on a pool and they are trying to push you down to put you to sleep.

well I have fallen in love, and her name is Ingrid, i mix her with LA Confidential and we are set. The usual advice and notion that the purples are the way to go, hasnt worked for me and i suppose some other people might agree aswell.

pick up my meds up at studio city care...

i mix at a ratio of 60/40. Ingrid 60% and LaCon at 40%

VAPE IT with an awesome whip i got that has a special feature: has a bowl that holds your herb further up from the heating element so it doesnt burn. Basically unscrew the base and place your meds onto a dual screened bowl; also good for for air flow to heat all sides your your herbs.

an a separate note: i have been thinking of traveling within the US, flying from one state and back. But considering my need for meds, it will be difficult to do.

Ingrid Canna Milk is also great. Put it in cocoa, chai tea, coffee, smoothies, etc.

When I get to the last small nug of a strain, I usually throw it into a glass jar, and just accumulate them, until needed.

At that time, I grind up everything, into a nice salad, and either pack the bong, or, as I did for the Extravaganja...pack a cone or blunt!

Both my son and I have commented, that these salads, seem to get us far more medicated, than any single strain. Most of what I smoke, are indicas, but there's always a bit of sativa dom hybred in there too (Blue Dream, Razzmatazz, Banana Crack, etc)

at the moment), but sometimes I need something extra, so I take some Melotonin -- that mixed with good herb knocks me out everytime.

It is said Cannabis helps bring about sleep onset by increasing melatonin production in some people by two primary cannabinoids. So I would be careful with adding Melatonin. BTW It is prescription only in most countries. Although it is OTC here in the good 'ol USofA. I dont know what an overdose of melitonin will do but it might be something worth looking up.
