help me sleep

Hello all I am again having restless nights and unwillingly depriving myself of sleep, Sleep is great I like sleeping but for whatever reason (s) I am unable to get a solid nights sleep I wake up 5 or 6 times a night and toss and turn for most of the night.

I have tried benadryl nytol and various other sleep remedies and to much chagrin they have been of no help. I think maybe I should medicate less during the day and hit it up at night... maybe this wiill help my cause.

Do any of you's on here have trouble sleeping... please help me.... thanks for any and all contributions.

you might want to try removing any light source from your room and as much electromagnetic radiation. I.E. no TV's, etc. then take that huge before bed toke. Hope you get some sleep!

i have problems sleeping too! i have to be careful not to smoke any sativas after dinner or my mind races all night.
what has been working for me is Purples. they just mellow me right out.
My new favorite for sleep is some Purple Ice. half hour after smoking it and i can fall right asleep and STAY asleep.

I have worlds of trouble with sleep! Try Ingrid, she will put you out, but good! One of the best sleep meds I've found. Also, Romulan, Bubba, LA Con, and Lavender work very well for me. And Ken's GDP, or any GDP. Lots of the purple strains work well for me.

A nice bubble bath with dim lights and good weed is the need for me to go to the land of nod; sometimes a dessert that is medicated or a dinner with BB famous olive oil with pasta sends me into carbo coma. Treat yourself like the baby you once were, well fed, warm, and in a routine of same time. No caffeine after 4 pm or at least 6 to 9 hours before bedtime. That means heavy munchies with chocolate too! Chocolate has caffeine.

And sugar. Sugar should also be avoided in the evenings. If you can do medicated tea or something like that it would be a better way to ingest than a sugary edible if you are trying to sleep. Same with alcohol since it is processed by the body like sugar.

Also: no naps during the day, unless there is some incontrovertible reason for one, like you have a big night out planned and need some extra energy. But normally avoid naps.

What helps me is to exercise during the day -not at night cuz it makes me hyper. I get to release stress and energy and I findmyself more tired in the evening. I also leave the TV off and make sure to keep the curtains closed so I don't get that sneaky 5am light in. A good OGkush can knock me out as well as a relaxing bath with chamomile lavender tea. I have to get into a routine with it. and NO naps during the day.

I usually have a very strong indica to put me to sleep but I find edibles last longer, so I stay asleep longer. I've tried the medicated milk recipe I found on here (search for "tea", I think). It works wonders.

I had much trouble sleeping as well. Oh, I do still have the ocasional bad night, but not like before.

I think all these suggestions are great, but it may bepend on why you are experiencing sleep problems.

My neck is fused, so finding a comfortable position is hard, so I toss and turn too. That frustration/discomfort does effect my ability to return to sleep.

I do smoke a stong Indica and topped with a good concentrate, but what keeps me asleep are my edibles.

I bake cookies made from cannabutter I purchase ready made. Before bed time I eat two, maybe three and about an hour later... Lights out.

If I do wake up and have trouble, I can eat another cookie and I'm soon back asleep.

The problem is consuming anywhere from 200 to 400 calories at the worst possible time... When the body is at rest.

So, I also exercise twice weekly with a trainer who pushes me harder than I push myself. With my spine I need as much muscle support as I can get.

You may wish to try a commercial edible and see if it helps.

My current bedtime formula is a mix of Chem Dawg and Afgoo. The taste is delicious as well. Sometimes benadryl helps if it's at least 100mgs. L-Tryptophan helps as well.

I too have problems sleeping lol, but I just accept it now. I would try Acupuncture. A civilization as old as the Chinese got this one down!!!! Try it once, you may or may not like it. A good Acupuncturist will know how to help you the right way. Stop taking Rx drugs!!!! arrrg they weren't put on this Earth for us to use!!! Man made them. Anyways I won't say anymore. Hope this helps , I am telling you Acupuncture might be the way to go :slaugh:

I aree with ASmith up there. Always get some exersize ( I like riding my bike) and smoke some purple before hitting the sack.

yeah hit the gym, dont smoke during the day, and smoke the purple at night. any other strains might keep you awake. purples are the way to go.

Its hard to go wrong with a heavy edible.

I sleep like a brick when I get down on some well made edibles. Some reason more so then just smoking or vaprorizing.

I tried the Tylonol PM's I also tried Nyquil. They worked but with the Nyquil I would wake up at 4:00 in the morning "wired" I decided to stop the Medicine and try smoking weed.

I ran across this Bud called "UDUB" I do not know what it is, But after smoking it, I fall asleep within 20-30 min and sleep all night. You might try this type of weed if you can find it.

MedsBlo45 it sounds like you have (DSPS) or (Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome).Try going to bed when you feel tired not just cause your sleep deprived.I take Lunesta 3mg for sleep,it works better than any of the other stuff Ive taken ie:everything in the book...lol.I would stay away from Benadryl=Antihistamines/Nyquil=Alcohol.Try Acupuncture,you will be presently suprised.The guy I go to is cool,a chinese guy who learned it from his dad in China/Buddha status.He is also an Herbal Consultant and prescribed me an Herbal Tea to help me relax during the daytime/Therefore I can save my medicating for late at night. GOOD LUCK

"the 'Devil' made me do it" ... yah ,that's right ,recently had opportunity to delve into some 'Devil's OG' ... besides a sweet aftert taste ,brings on superslumber ... seems to hav 'lethargic' effects that help w/less sleep interruptions ... that is all .....

Sleep is way too hard to try to help someone with. Coming from someone who missed out on sleep for 4 years but am finally understanding. You must find it within yourself in your own way that works. It takes several months to years to be able understand all the necessities of your OWN body. Without some things(food, chemical, exercise, light exposure, mind stimulation, cleanliness and so on) you cannot achieve another (sleep, appetite, sense of comfort, good hygiene ...). But then again some people do not need many of those things to accomplish another. So everybody is different. Just be determined(but dont try too hard) and be patient.
