WOW! I am surprised to hear this as it really hits me like a Sativa. It was sold to me as a Sativa by a very reputable Co-op too. Not arguing the point just surprised!

Now I just don't know WHAT to think. But it sure doesn't do what most Indicas do for me. Weird!

Re: Green Crack

The GC is a new strain to me, never seen it before getting my cert a few months ago. I have found it is by far the best daytime med for me. It elevates my mood to exactly where it should be, and leaves me with a clear head. Doesn't make me hungry or tired, and a few hits lasts me a few hours. I stocked up on GC a couple weeks ago, as a Co-Op I frequent had an incredible sale on it ($280 oz).

Before I got my cert, I would easily go through an 1/8+ a day. Now that I have access to meds that suit my needs, instead of just 1 or 2 strains of misc lineage, I rarely smoke more than a gram or 2. Some GC during the day, with some various OG's have made the last few months the best months I've had in 5 years!

Send me a PM, and I'll be happy to point you to a club that always has GC (multiple kinds), and usually has some kind of special on it :)

When I went to a particular co-op (for the first and last time), I was sold something called Purple Cush. (Yes. With a "C.") It was presented to me as Indica dominant). I have not been able to find any real information on Purple Cush whatsoever, though, and was later told by someone that it might have been Green Crack under a different (more appealing, I suppose) name (although why they didn't simply call it "Pincher's Creek," then, is beyond me).

It had the exact effect you describe, Spaceman--an extraordinarily Sativa-esque feel. (Unfortunately, because I was in dire need of an Indica at that time, I absolutely hated it.)

I'm glad it works for you, however!

Green Crack Lineage: SSSC Skunk #1 (Afghani, Acapulco Gold, Mexican Gold) x Local Sweet Leaf Afghani
Skunk #1 is; Afghani (indica), Acapulco Gold (sativa), Mexican Gold (sativa)
Local Sweet Leaf Afghani is pure indica

The very noticeable sativa effects are what make this hybrid so interesting. Not
only do you get the benefit of the soaring effects from it's sativa genetics, you also
get outstanding body analgesia when grown to maturity. It's not surprising that GC
and OG Kush are perhaps the two most popular mmj strains. Though very different
in taste and smell, they are both very tasty and effective hybrids that exhibit both
sativa and indica effects.

Ulalume~ Hi Nice to finally talk to you. I too think i have heard of GC being sold under the name Purple Cush. Couldn't tell you where but I read it somewhere.
If someone had sold me the GC as an Indica I would have been very disappointed also, but as iconoclast mentions in his post you do get an outstanding body analgesic effect. It just has such a mental lift to it that even though it helped my pain the "headiness" of it was what struck me. Seeing that there is quite a bit of sativa in it's genetics and the psychological factor of being told it was a sativa of course I might not think of the body effects as being influenced by indica genetics.

So that being said - it works for me when I am looking for a sativa strain. I still like "purer" indicas more for later in the day and at night. I just can't get any work done when i use them so there is always a place for a nice Sativa. Or, apparently a nice Indica/Sativa Hybrid.

iconoclast - thank you for the breakdown. at least i know why i get the "head" feeling as well as getting the physically medicated feeling not usually quite so apparent in other Sativas I have used. and yeah - i love the OG's as well. Now those i thought of as being a hybrid (but couldn't tell ya what the % would be of indica and sativa - i just like the effect)

one of my favorite "wake-n-bake" meds-----just for that reason. it brings down the pain level, but is extremely clear, motivational and functional. plus it has that sativa euphoria. awesome strain.

Re: Green Crack

I really like the GC I've tried, but I've had 4 different kinds from 4 different dispensaries. I still don't have a sense of what it's supposed to taste and look like. Some places I've seen it green and airy oval nugs, other places I've seen it as dense hairy round nugs.

Trust me you’re not missing much. I’ve seen this so-called real Green Crap couple year ago when RDC was hyping it up, it’s nothing special.

I'm glad it works for you, however!

some of the co-ops that i go to label it as Cush because some people dont want meds called "crack"
