| g13 sativa: anyone hear of this strain? Just bought 1/8 at a co-op (can't mention on WT) and they sold me some outdoor g13 sold as a sativa. I'm guessing it must be a cross of g13 with a sativa, since g13 is supposed to be pure indica. Then, I'm wondering if this co-op got it wrong and labeled it as a sativa. I asked about it and my budtender told me it was a sativa and was very good, so I bought it. I'll be smoking it soon and will add on to this thread. Anybody ever hear of g13 sativa, or have you tried any of the crosses? Guess I'm about to find out. |

It's a sativa grown for medical marijuana research back in the 70's. It's supposed to be a clipping that was taken out of the facility. It's often confused as an indica, if it is true G-13. While doing research, they selected the most potent plants, anomalies, from harvests and then inbred those until they came up with a stable strain the produces 28% THC by weight. There's so much THC in one or two hits, you get way too much THC into your system too fast and you feel sluggish, like an indica. But, it is a sativa, for sure. The batches I got smelt like the sweetest, most pungent primo lumbo green you'll ever find. Very dark green and crystalline. Who's to say! | |

| Re: g13 sativa: anyone hear of this strain? I tried it. It was great. Hard to tell what exactly it was. I didn't fall asleep or zone out, but I was definitely medicated all day long. Didn't feel overpowering indica stone - like Master Kush, or anything but it was stoney. I couldn't stop smoking it. So, whatever it was it was great, but again - hard to say what it all was. It was a nice green color, lots of trichs - very sparkly - taste was nice, but not overpowering. It was great ganga. It's now gone. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat, but I'd hope they'd trim it better than they did. Lots of sticks. I got my first eighth of Jack H. I've had in about a year. This one's gotta last me a week. DAMN THAT BONG! And the Cannabible says G13 is an indica. Fatty says it's a sativa, and not the first time I've seen that before. Other places on the net do say it's a sativa. Maybe it's a hybrid, I don't know. Bottom line, it's GREAT and after smoking a nice amount, I have no idea what it is. So apparently, the jury is still out on the legendary G-13 lineage. One thing everyone can agree on, it's a great strain, whatever it is. Last edited by senorlou; 09-14-2008 at 06:25 PM.. |
