Why don't any of the Co-ops' have any of the newer stuff like Arjan's Strawberry Haze? Can't they get seeds sent to them?

Arjan's Haze is a phenomenal strain and what I consider to be the top Sativa Strain out there. The quality is superior, with a thc content up to 23%. A must for all connoisseurs and breeders, it is a very special plant.

Only problem is it takes about 12 weeks of flowering and seeds are expensive, about $150 for a pack of 10. This strain also won the High Times cannabis cup in 2004 which is why I became interested in this plant.

The breeder of this strain is Greenhouse Seeds if anyone is interested.

This is one of the reasons we don't see many high percentage Sativa strains in the co-ops.

Also, most growers here in CA do not use Amsterdam genetics. There is an abundance of great strains that are being bred and circulated right here on CA and up and down the west coast. With so many strains available right here why go to a new source. Also there is the legal issue with getting seeds here in the states.

Another thing to keep in mind is that most all of the Amsterdam genetics actually originated right here in CA. The old CAli genetics from the 70's and early 80's were brought over to A-dam and for the most past (until recently) have just been shuffled and re-shuffled to make all the staple A-dam strains. So I would just enjoy the flavors offered in the co-ops, because those are the next genetics to make it to the A-dam and Canadian seed banks.

That is for shure one of the best smokes i've had when I grew up in amsterdam. That and a north-holland strain from let me see what are they called again... consious sensus or someting (they won a high times award)- I grew up across the street from that lady- but the strain is called Slootwater PP (powerPlant) If you smoke enough you totally pass out

Please let me know where I can find Hawaiian Snow! I hear that it is similar to Kali Mist, only better.

One of my all time favorite smokes is White Rhino from Greenhouse when Shantibabba and Arjan were partners. I have not tried any of Arjans solo projects though but it sounds like maybe I should.

I laso have to agree on the White Rhino , its superb genetics from over there .Ive never had as good white rhino at a co-op .

I picked up a jar of White Rhino at CMC in San Francisco. Excellent quality, seems like a 50/50 hybrid.

Haven't had/grown Arjans but I have made neville's haze and super silver haze, both were outstanding with the nevilles being pure sativa it had a super energetic psychedelic high, it was well worth the wait, super strong "haze" taste...Yummmmmmmm

The silver was similar, but you could really tell the difference in the high, hit really hard and fast but a less psychedelic and more stoney. Tasted a lot like nevilles as the haze flavor was very intense.
I know Arjans was supposed to be tiny bit a little stronger than nevilles (more recent I believe),I would imagine it's the same just line just selectively backcrossed for awhile by the sound of it.

I think there's a lot of Dutch genetics here and canada and lot of cali in both of them places, there's genetics going back and forth constantly, daily.

really? either way i'll smoke them both!!! Arjan has won a shit load of awards...& i know the SSH has too! I'm really more of an Indica lover but I like to mix it up a bit!

Genetics: Neville's Haze, Super Silver Haze, Laos.
Effect: strong, introspective high, with a deep effect on the body due to the high CBD level. Very intense taste, nutty and woody
Flowering indoor: 9-10 weeks will deliver rock-hard sativa buds covered in shiny white resin. Yield between 600 and 800 gr/sqm.
Flowering outdoor: it finishes between 15 and 30 October in most areas of the Northern hemisphere, or in mid May in the Southern. Production up to 1000 gr/plant.

The Greenhouse breeding and seed production facility is managed and controlled by Scott Blake, head breeder. Scott's passion runs deep; it permeates his soul. You can see it in his eyes, in his smile, hear it in his speech, and most of all you can feel it when he passes you a hash joint rolled with tobacco which keeps the hash burning. I made the mistake of sharing one of his Shanti Baba hash joints with him before dark. I must admit, I was wrecked for the next few hours, can't remember how many. The joint was so strong, I had auditory and muscular incongruencies. Yes, it made me stagger and my words were jumbled. It was similar to a religious experience when the Shanti Baba God descends and whacks you on the noggin, which makes you speak in foreign tongues.

The Greenhouse crew consists of Arjan, savvy pretty boy and front man; Nevil, the original guy that got together seeds from the strongest varieties in the world and started the original Seed Bank; and of course, Scott, Mr Shanti Baba himself. The celebrity judges had a short discussion and smoke out to decide which was the number one seed company… The Greenhouse!!

Upon close examination of the Greenhouse buds with a 30X hand-held microscope, the resin glands of two Greenhouse varieties, El Nino and Super Silver Haze, were as frosty as Christmas on the North Pole. Simply unbelievable! Looking at these two varieties was like looking at a close-up of the Milky Way. In fact, I remember a good Italian friend remarking: "I have a difficult time seeing any green at all when I look at these buds with a microscope."
