Rep Power: 450280       | Prayers needed for labrat Good morning WT Family. I wanted to let you know that our loving resident rodent is in need of some mighty big prayers and support right now. Wednesday the oxygen equipment that labrat was using exploded in his face. He has severe 2nd and 3rd degree burns all over his face. The oxygen tubing was actually burnt into the skin and had to be surgically removed. Gratefully, he did not inhale the flames and his precious remaining lung material was not burnt. His nasal passages are though. He was to be transferred to a burn center last night or this morning. I haven't heard from any of the family members today so I don't have anymore updated information to post. But you know just as soon as I do, I'll be on here letting all of you know. I did get a chance to speak with him, hard to understand with all of those bandages on his face. He says his entire face is all blackened and the pain is really severe. Take care of yourselves my dear ones, we just don't know from one moment to another what may happen, some times in just a flash. And from labrat: peace lab rat  And from me, Cyber Hugs . |

The tank didn't malfunction, Labby had a momentary laps and forgot to remove the oxygen and was to near an open flame. He reacted Immediately and smothered the flames with a pillow and knew better than to breath, unfortunatly the slight pressure from the tank and oxygen was already in his nose and sinuses. We don't yet know where he will be treated for his burns but will do our best to keep everyone informed. You all have touched my heart today with all your kindness and concern for my friend Lab Rat. I've grown to love this man in the very short time I've known him and he has a special place in my heart. He is as tough as nails but has a heart of gold and despite his own troubles is the first share a hug and a smile with ya. We accidently ran across each other at a coop and hit it off like old friends. I could see that he is filled with life like few others especially with the personal challenges he is living with daily. Yes, he can be a joker, but he is a plain speaker who doesn't mince words and get right to the point. Labby probably holds the record for suspensions here but keeps coming back and in my opinion is an asset here. One does feel his spirit and zest for life in his posts. While sometimes he makes me laugh,sometimes he makes me angry,sometimes he fustrates me but one thing is for sure he always finds a way to enlighten me with some wisdom that sometimes seems to come from left field. And Au, thank you so much for all of your help (a wise man to call when you are having a panic attack). I'm saving all the posts concerning labrat and I know he will feel humbled hearing them all. Specialists are being contacted, the beautiful "wife-thirty" is by his side, and many wonderful people are requesting the very best for him in their thoughts and prayers. Every time I read all of your posts, I just start bawling and sobbing again, you are all so special and it is truly a blessing to hear the words from your tender hearts. I don't know about you guys, but weedtracker feels like a family to me, with Labrat as a crazy uncle, and of course Baby Boomer as our loving mom. All the prayers I can remember are going out to uncle Labrat right now... and many thanks to BB for holding us all together at times like this.
