Rep Power: 32 | I've become aware of the carbon dioxide (CO2) issue mostly by growing cannabis hemp (marijuana). Growers can almost double harvest yield using CO2 atmosphere enrichment. Plants use CO2 for photosynthesis to create sugars to build plant tissues. Elevating CO2 level increases the ability of cannabis plants to manufacture these sugars. CO2 is calculated and measured in parts per million (ppm). Country air contains about 300 ppm. Most researchers think the optimum level to maximize cannabis growth rates is about 1500 ppm. This is about five times the concentration of CO2 currently found in the earth's atmosphere. Cannabis can absorb up to 6 times the current atmospheric concentration of CO2 while putting out corresponding amounts of Oxygen. Cannabis hemp (marijuana) has this unique genetic ability because it developed during primordial times when our atmosphere was filled with CO2 levels many times higher than today. Genetic mutations are randomn but the selection of advantageous traits is completely dependent on the environment and totally non-random. Cannabis is the result of cumulative non-random adaptations to environmental forces over millions of years. The ability for Cannabis to thrive in atmospheres containing 500% more CO2 than current levels is a unique genetic ability. This capability suggests cannabis has survived other epochs of climate change and carried with it the seeds for our collective survival. What other seed, if shipped by the billions tomorrow, would be immediately and gratefully planted by a majority of the world's population? Imagine how little this will cost compared to ANY alternatives and how enormous we should consider the economic value of our collective physical survival. Think of how incredibly effective this method would be compared with other totally ineffective and very expensive solutions oil companies keep trying to sell us. Even wind turbines and solar panels require facilities' to be built and comparatively large amounts of capital investment compared with hemp seed. Each seed or cutting grows into a cannabis seed factory with almost free and practically unlimited inputs of sun, water and soil. As CO2 emissions continue to increase, forests of cannabis hemp around the world could literally fix the problem by transforming those increased emissions into beautiful, breathable oxygen. Imagine forests of cannabis hemp overnight, even in the most polluted and crowded of cities. Cannabis Hemp would be available to all who need it, regardless of economic affluence, and our world would be a much better place for it. *Please read Jack Herer's book on Hemp history and economics called The Emperor Wears No Clothes. Rep Power: 0 | Re: God vs Nature This is the one plant that could make a human being economically and independently free from any form of government!! Imagine if there was something you could grow in your yard, closet or just about anywhere.. That you could make a food, Medicine , Clothing, Fuel, or Building material!! With the technology today there is only one reason that we are not using this valuable and needed Plant... Cannabis Sativa !Hemp!! Its called Industrial Greed...... The Giant Beast!! When a man is considered scum of the Earth for growing and using Gods Green Plant, There is something wrong!!! This plant has more photosynthesis occur in it then most plants known to man..It is an environmental savior!! For man to sit back and complain about the environment and the worlds economy, But yet allow this illegal and destructive drug war to continue for over 77 years is horrendous and truly sad.. The will of the people has been crushed and our voices aren't heard!! The truth is people are oppressed because of lack of knowledge..We have been subject to lies for so long that its hard to discern the truth... We as a community and as individual human beings need to educate all those around us with fact.. Not opinions based on lies!! Jesus saved us, Lincoln Freed us, and Cannabis Hemp could fix it all!!! Just one mans opinion!! |

continued here So, with the absorption of CO2 being an environmental plus, states in the mid-west are busy eradicating "ferel hemp"... That's gubermint fur ya

You know the most wasteful thing a homeowner could do? Have a lawn! Grass takes 2-5 times as much water as most flowers, and is spread out over a wider surface area. Then after it grows, we cut it and throw it away! Not only is space wasted in front of your home that could be going to.. hmm.. I don't know, food? Medicine? More living space? The culprits are under our noses v.v.. |

Innate biological ability of the plant to strip out atmospheric CO2 is just the start. We also need plant(s) to detoxify the soil, provide Omega 3 and Omega 6 essential fatty acids, and provide the fiber and fuel to revolutionize our entire economy. Cannabis has unique properties in total that make it ideal. The properties of the plant are biological in nature but the distribution and use of the plant has everything to do with it's therapeutic, commercial and spiritual applications. This is where my economics training comes in handy. Ferns are legal everywhere as far as I know and yet they are losing ground. If you think about ferns as a solution to global warming I think you will see immediate problems in finding personal, individual motivation to plant. Everybody likes ferns but I think you see what I'm saying. I'm talking about leveraging this amazing sacred plant and it's very high spiritual and economic value. This is all about economics and human perception of value. The clear economic value of giving folks cannabis seeds is clear. Really popular, high quality seeds from the Netherlands can go for between $100 and $200 for a pack of 10 or 15. I'm talking about giving high quality genetic material away for FREE to people who are literally DYING to have it. These folks are losing everything, including their lives so this will not effect the larger commercial seed market. These folks can not and will not purchase seeds because they cannot afford them but they WILL immediately plant if given the chance. Ferns might be able to reduce global warming in theory but I see no practical path that provides the focused human motivation necessary. This human propensity to plant is different for ferns and cannabis. Cannabis seeds will get planted and they will get planted FAST. Cannabis provides for a revolution in economics and environment. *Please read Jack Herer's book on Hemp history, environment and economics called The Emperor Wears No Clothes. Angeltyreal what you say is genious. I have thought of this... people go through their lives everyday not realizing they are part of the problem. (Like watering grass they cut). There are things that each one of us can improve. Since we all have cannabis in common, we must stick to gether and educate each other more about it here.
