Rep Power: 5692 | I think that lots of things need to change. Ourselves first, but who can not be a better person? This is not a treatise on how one may evolve, but a hope that our future actions are more admirable. Starting here and now our whole lives unfold. What are we doing with it? Does anyone have long term plans? How much of those plans are self serving and personally focused? I do not mean to be critical of anyone - I am trying to wake someone up. We are much more than we realize. Our actions have consequences to others and ourselves. Our thoughts have the power to heal or destroy. The Hindu idea is Karma, and Christians express it as reaping and sowing. What ever way you see it, I suggest that everyone try to be as aware as possible. To be conscious and behave so. When we are not conscious, it is so easy to say or do things that hurt others; seeds of our own suffering. When conscious we are able to do the most compassionate and loving things. I seek more awareness - expanded consciousness. You find what you seek. I am aware of much pain and black sadness from all who suffer on this planet. Every child not fed. Disease that slays the babies. The greed that powers the whole pile of crap. Hatred and unforgivingness keep the grudges hot and murderous wars where no prisoners are taken and no mercy given. It reaks. I seek peace so things need to change. Everything needs to change. Everyone. Karma is true (wont argue that here) and Karma influences the future - so I contend that it can be used to create a more peaceful future for the whole world. Acts of kindness, unexpected, will change other people's lives and selves. How I know this? (PM me and wait for the long letter) At some point, the positive karma (harvests of joy) will become self generating. Humans natural state, when well, is Joyful. It is a kind of sickness that causes suffering. I see it as energy. The natural way to respond is to return evil for evil. This keeps the negative energy flowing. This is why we need to love those who hate us. I contend that every moment spend hating is a total waste of life. Loving Acton is what it is all about. When I remember, I will do something or say something kind and unexpected to someone else. I will expect nothing back. I will be a small step of change today. I will teach love in word and deed. Will anyone join me? clinton Last edited by clinton; 08-07-2008 at 08:10 AM.. |
