Rep Power: 1861471 | We are needed again at City Hall on Wednesday, when the full City Council will take up the unfinished work from the committees. A final vote is unlikely, but City Councilmembers are expected to debate issues involving patient privacy, cultivation, and buffer zones around collectives. Can you make one more trip to City Hall this week? What: LA City Council Meeting When: 10:00 AM * Wednesday, November 18 Where: Room 340, City Hall, 200 N. Spring St., Los Angeles 90012 Arrive early to complete a public speaker’s card in opposition to agenda item 18. Please forward this message to friends and loved ones who care about safe access in LA! See you on Wednesday! |

Rep Power: 206140 | Yes, as you may have heard, the DA has declared WAR on us again. He is a true Drug Warrior! The current 1,000 feet would likely compromise the ability to stay open for 70-75% of all dispensaries so again, if you are a member of a co-op, we need patients to impress upon them the need to attend. And vice-versa. And concentrates still seem to be banned which really needs to be hammered home. Also, medicating is also on the chopping block but I think it will be used as a negotiating tool and when all is said and done it will be offered up as a sacrifice. So for those we need immediate relief before the long drive back to IE or elsewhere you may want to think about making your voices heard. Let's not let up! "Everyone born in this world has a unique role that only he or she can fulfill. Were this not the case, we would not be here. The universe never acts without cause; everything invariably has a reason for being. Even the weeds people love to loathe serve a purpose." ---Daisaku Ikeda |
