They are moving forward with allowing them not banning the last I heard..!!!!  |

The panel voted 4-1 on Tuesday evening to curb establishment of the clinics and reverse a decision two weeks ago to consider regulating zoning for the dispensaries. Mayor Sharon Quirk, who previously supported the clinics, said that after meeting with Police Chief Pat McKinley she had a better understanding of the various enforcement and financial pressures that would have been placed upon the city. All on the council but Pam Keller supported the ban. Marijuana use is illegal under federal law, which does not recognize the medical marijuana laws in California and 11 other states. | |

A little education goes a long way though, so, I think that those of us who are in this for the long haul, that is, for life, have a right to use MMJ and not be harassed by the police for it. Ah me. I am also uninformed about how the local laws are here as well. Makes me want to go find out. I will do some reading on GG and see what comes up. Why aren't there any co-ops here? I know that GG was the center of a serious win for the MMJ side involving the return of meds to their rightful owner. Other than that though, I haven't seen much about it. Lot's of luck over in Fullerton!:smile2: Insanvsattva |
