Yucaipa City Council on August 14th banned Medical Marijuana Dispensing (no distribution of MMJ to anyone by any licensed business). They basically argue that Prop 215 allows for the possession and use of MMJ, but does not allow distribution.

This is exactly the problem we are always facing. Both locally and Federally. People abuse their power and clear prejudice that is always aimed at our meds. I see what they are trying to do, but in the doing it they are sending a clear message (We don't care about the law, we simply will not allow it. They would never take such a stance on any other medication. It just really frustrates me to no end. I also read somewhere (I wish I could give the right people credit) the idea of police selling confiscated meds. Instead of destroying them they can sell them to collectives at wholesale prices and use that money to help pay for instead of take away from police resources.

I guess Yucaipa gets to keep their street dealers and high costs for law enforcement. Sounds like a wonderful place to live

the people of yucaipa should give the city proper notice that they are violating their state rights and the people should sue them for something ridiulous, like a ride in the space shuttle, or something like that

i guess it's time for direct action from those oppressed, go in peace and be heard, tell them how it's going to be!
