Rep Power: 11974 | Return Response from my Rep!! Sir, I am alarmed by your lack of knowledge and understanding of the so called Drug War!! As you know millions of young children are growing up without mothers and fathers because of this war..This is not a war against a culture or race, But rather a war against the planet and the "Tree of Life" all the green plants.. I do not support the drug war and I do not support anyone who promotes an illegal and harmful action..This is a Country founded on Freedom and the right to pursue happiness..Who is the government out there to help? The people or the Big Industry that keeps these lies up? Cannabis Hemp is one of the most beneficial plants on the planet, It can be used as a fuel, Food, Medicicne, Clothing, and Building material..For it to not be used as a natural resource is astounding, To let the Big Industries spread the lies that they have for so long and to allow them to misinform and blatantly lie to us is harmful to the Nation.. I don't want my children taught that a plant is harmful,I don't want my children to have to suffer as I have and my parents and grandparents before me.. There is so much knowledge out there for you to have these uneducated opinions of statements not fact. So please educate yourself a little more on prohibition and the harm and damage it causes and do some research on the green house effect and photosynthesis, If you cant see the damages done by this so called "Drug War" then you should not be in office.. So please don't waste my hard earned tax dollars on this harmful action!! Sincerely Thraxz --- On Fri, 12/19/08, Congressman Gary G. Miller <gary.miller@mail.house.gov> wrote: From: Congressman Gary G. Miller <gary.miller@mail.house.gov> Subject: Message from Congressman Gary G. Miller To: thraxz13 Date: Friday, December 19, 2008, 3:17 PM December 19, 2008 Mr. Thraxz 1400000 Ocean Blvd Anywhere U.S.A. Dear Mr. Thraxz Thank you for contacting me regarding drug use in the United States. I appreciate hearing from you on such an important issue. I firmly believe the United States government should do everything in its power to combat illegal drug use. The war against drugs has been, and continues to be, a very difficult one. Statistics show that drug use is up an alarming amount - especially among America's teenagers. Illegal drug use destroys families, lives, and communities, bogs down our criminal justice system, and drains federal and state resources. To effectively combat drug use in our schools and neighborhoods, the United States must pursue a pragmatic approach that balances education and rehabilitation with law enforcement. You may be interested to know that the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) is the primary agency that combats illicit drug trafficking in the United States, and it has nearly quadrupled illicit drug asset seizures in the past two years. While this is an indication that our efforts have had some success, we still have much work to do. Congress has recognized this and instituted several programs to combat the prevalence of drug abuse teenagers. For example, under the Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act (SDFSC), grants are awarded to local education agencies in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico for activities that promote school safety and prevent drug abuse. These funds also go to state governors for the creation of programs that deter youth from using illegal drugs and committing acts of violence in schools. For Fiscal Year 2008, Congress allocated $294.8 million for this important program. In addition, Congress appropriated nearly $2 billion for efforts in drug law enforcement over the next year, including the hiring of more agents to work on drug cases. This will enable the DEA to continue assisting state and local law enforcement in their fight against drugs. As your representative in Congress, please be assured that I will continue working in Congress to strengthen our nation's drug policies and to provide for sufficient funding of drug enforcement programs and agencies. Again, thank you for contacting me. I hope you will remain in touch in the future on other issues of importance to you. Sincerely, GARY G. MILLER Member of Congress Just thought I would share my response to his email!! |

Rep Power: 87905 | Re: Return Response from my Rep!! technically, LOL is three words. Thraxz, great letter, what an infuriating response! Did Miller even read it? I've volunteered for my rep for a couple of weeks and let me tell you, an intern scans your mail for your topic and wether you are for or against it, tallies your stance, and then sends you a . . . . . . form letter. It states their general position on the matter of importance to you. Great job Thraxz! Keep up the good work! Now lets fire his ass! Last edited by OakSmokeMJA; 12-19-2008 at 08:31 AM.. |

Rep Power: 1004 | Re: Return Response from my Rep!! Politicians don't listen to the concerns of those they represent, they only listen to the undecided voters right before an election. It's unfortunate, but in order to sway the mind of a politician you really have to sway the minds of their base. Writing to politicians is a waste of time, writing to your local newspaper, however, is a much more effective strategy at changing laws. |

Hey Thraxz attach a check made out to his campaign fund with a 1 and a few 0's and I'll bet you get a personal response. Good going Mr. T, keep them on their toes. Rep Power: 11974 | Re: Return Response from my Rep!! I am not surprised at all with the responses I get from my Reps. They have yet to read something I have written them and give me a personal response. I had a few minutes this morning and figured I would put in my two sense.. The Constitution clearly states that when the Government that is in power is not for the people We have the right and obligation to remove them..Money don't mean shit, Its a piece of paper. What makes a difference is the people and their will for Freedom.. I just like to send them my thoughts on how they are so ignorant to us and our wants and needs..Obviously they aren't listening. If they took some of what we the people had to say, I don't think we would be in this mess!!! To see what we see and hear the things we hear, Being done by those that we put our trust in!! I am ashamed to be known as one of their fellow Americans.. Its going to take a Revolution, To get back what they have so quietly taken, Your rights and your Individualism.... How much more do we have to suffer as a Nation and as a people before we have True Leadership, Before someone Leads by example? Go Green!! |
