Another day, another stupid poll. What the talking heads fail to explain is just who is responding to polls these days. They use land-lines for polling. Alot of young people, and a few old ones like me will never ever get a land-line again, it's a waste of money. If someone calls you at home and wants to ask you questions, do you respond? The vast majority of us would hang up on the caller, we don't want to waste time on this bullshit. Next time you hear about a poll, just remember to consider the source.

I don't know exactly what poll you're referring to, but I'd have to agree with your general sentiment. Polls suck. What I hate most are exit polls on election day. In the back of my mind I always picture someone who would have voted otherwise deciding to stay home because the exit poll made it seem like the results were already in. Then I think of someone who may for whatever reason still be undecided or simply easily swayed getting influenced by the results. Both scenarios are equally irritating if ya ask me!

I think bullpucky is a funny word.

It's not a curse word, but it sound like it, kick-ass....

But I do agree with the Basher-man completely, some of the most useless of all demographic info, and yea, I hang up on em too most of the time. Normally wait to ear what I'm hanging up on....

I like ten foot poles, they were a staple of mine during my dating career. Whenever I asked for a second date, I invariably got the ten foot pole response, it toughened me up.

I read this morning about the race/Obama issue. Some Fox News pundit actually referred to a poll when asked if racism is a factor in the decline of civil discourse. The absurdity of someone admitting they are a racist to a poll question must have escaped him.

LOL. The racism thing kinda reminds me of all those stupid polls about drug use. Some many of them come from the census bureau. Like anybody's gonna tell some random government employee who knocks on his/her door, oh yeah, I smoke crack everday! Want a hit?
