Rep Power: 4235 | The patients get lost in the shuffle In the wake of Wednesday's raids on 14 MMJ outlets, I find myself becoming more confused about where to legitimately obtain my meds and how to remain a responsible, law-abiding MMJ patient. I have heard that there are some 60 dispensaries/co-ops/clubs in San Diego County. I've also heard that only 8 or 9 are properly licensed/legit. Yet, according to remarks at Thursday morning's press conference by DA Bonnie Dumanis, there are no legal dispensaries in SD county! - source ... http://lastblogonearth.com/2009/09/1...ies-right-now/ On Thursday, I called my City Council member and was referred to an aide's voicemail. I asked specifically about the "Magic 8 or 9". As of the time of this post, I've not heard back from them on this. I also emailed the public affairs person at the DA's office on this same topic. As of this post, no word from them yet either. Dumanis has also seemed to imply that the only legal way for patients to obtain meds, is to grow 'em themselves. She has also suggested that obtaining meds from a "closed-loop" source, is legal. How can anyone know exactly how to be in compliance with the law, when nobody is being at all clear on the subject?!? It's especially frustrating when those who have the power to fuck people over, are the very ones who aren't forthcoming with the necessary information! I've asked in other posts here and elsewhere, about the "Magic 8 or 9" dispensaries, with limited success. Patients have the right to know the truth. How can we (and those who are trying to help us obtain our meds legitimately) get the straight story on this? |

I wish I had info that could help ya. Sadly, I do not. The stories I've been hearing about SD make me feel fortunate to live in LA. Have ya talked to Smiledon? He's from SD and he's a reliable source. |
