Heres Vicente Fox briefly talking about what the "North American Union" is meant to do, it is real but like he says it is a long term idea and their intentions may be blown out of proportion. By the sound of it they would like to have a currency like the euro which may not be a bad thing but its hard to deny it exists when he says they would like to have a deal along the lines of the European Union.

Yeah, I'm aware that the idea's been floated around. I never denied that. So what. Vincente Fox ain't the President of Mexico anymore and ya just said yourself Bush shot the idea down.

The E.U. works because it started out with a group of nations that were on more or less equal footing in terms of their economic structures, level of government transparency, inflation rates, etc. And let's not forget that fact that the original EU countries were all more or less high income countries. Since then they've taken in some middle income countries, but that did not happen overnight.

Point being, the U.S. and Canada would lose a lot by heavily integrating with Mexico, to the point where the idea of the three of us having a uniform currency is laughable. Mexico's rate of inflation is astronomical, and as far as transparency goes, well, let's just say Mexico's living in the dark ages.

Remember all the criticism of NAFTA during the '08 elections? I highly doubt we'll be upgrading to a NAFTA + any time soon.

because if you would take the time to just watch it, you would see everything they say is something that obama has done. They dont just say he's done it and its a bold faced lie. The information is valid, even if the source putting it out there I don't think is a very good one.

I keep forgetting why I even bother to post these kinds of things, I can't open anyones eyes, only they can open them for themselves. For example I think it was cannabliss who said he reads everything anyone takes the time to post, so I went and posted I want to say over 7 or 8 things for people to look up, I doubt if anyone even looked up one of them... If anyone needs anything they can PM me, I'll spare fellow WT'ers having to look at more of my 'ridiculous' posts :).

And I never expressed 'profound distrust' I said that I think alex jones purposely puts out false information and spreads fear in alot of his things, but thats not to say that he doesnt also say some truth. There is always an element of truth to every lie.

Lincoln would be a good person to say I model my political values after. yes I long for the republican days of lincoln. Even back then though I doubt know the validity of the bipartisan system, I'm willing to bet it was still a show like today. But its a great thought! Ahh, the America of old, when there wasnt a central bank. You know its quite a coincidence that you say that because I actually JUST began reading Lincolns biography today. And I don't solely rely on youtube, in fact I try to stray away from youtube unless its truly a worthy video, because I am not unawares to the fact that people can post whatever they want even falsities. And I don't watch TV not because I don't want to see liberal news or whatever, Its because TV causes retardation and reduces nervous system functions. Also if the first 2 werent bad enough, it manipulates peoples thought processes as well! Yep, tv's not 4 me, however I can't deny that I don't enjoy a good episode of Family Guy or South Park or watching the Cooking Channel. But I would say on average I watch about an hour of TV a week. And I'm not against liberals, I at one point in time considered myself to be liberal, then I learned what the *REAL* liberal party are and the *REAL* republican party, and I learned that they both dont exist. There are no parties. There is just rulers and us the ruled. The whole system of government is one big show to keep us masses thinking we have a democratic government that were a part of.

C'mon people lets stop falling for their BS already...

If the North American Union gets made, it will in effect eradicate the constitution. Also the 'freedoms' we have in the amendments are not what they were when they were made, and they are severely impaired and in some cases ignored in todays world.

The Constitution only applies to the government. What does your last paragraph have to do with the government? Answer: Nothing.

If ya knew anything about U.S. History whatsoever, you'd know that the Constitution has been consistently violated since its creation. Sometimes the government abides by it, other times, especially during war, they completely ignore it. Nothing new there. Ever heard of the Alien and Sedition Acts of 1798? The Sedition Act of 1917? The Smith Act of 1940?

Didn't think so.

Still, I personally believe in free speech regardless of the government's stance with respect to this issue.

Wow. You simply couldn't be more wrong. Things were a hell of a lot worse, in terms of civil rights, at the time of the founding and during the early days of the Republic. In fact, civil rights were virtually nonexistant until the mid-20th century.

You do know that the Bill of Rights didn't apply to the states until the mid-20th Century, right?
