The Rights favorite Botox lady has spoken out against the political atmosphere we find ourselves in. She is, unfortunately IMHO, corect. Certainly Fox News executives are correct when they describe Glenn Beck's show as entertainment, not news, but the context of that is in regards to the truth. When called out on obvious half-truths and utter lies, these executives simply call the shows entertainment. Unfortunately millions of viewers are taking this stuff to heart. There have already been shootings and killings related to this in Pittsburgh and Washington DC. Yesterday Rush Limbaugh blamed the videotaped school bus beating of a white student by a black student on "Obamas World". Mark Levin ginns up his listeners every day with utter lies and distortions. Hannity is the same. America needs to wake up and smell the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$!!!!! Rush: 50 million a year. Beck: 20million a year. Levin: big money!!! They don't seem to care that their words will incite people to violence. I hope Nancy and I are wrong, but I fear we are right.

These guys are nothing but fear mongers and I find it completely disgusting that people allow this to go on.

IMO, because of people like CNN and Fox news, we have the most biased and untrustworthy news sources ever to exist in this country.

I have read publications from the 20's, so called "yellow journalism", true it was biased, but the bias was obvious and easy to ignore because it was such. Today the bias is very carefully hidden, and words are more diplomatic,...but it is stronger and more prevalent than ever....

Maxine Waters calls anyone in opposition "Teabaggers" wants them all "interviewed" because of their First Amendment RIGHT to political free speech and you aren't concerned over this obvious violation of civil rights.

Please see or read President Carters entire statement. He said a "significant portion" of the attacks of Obama are race based. Certainly nobody knows the exact number, and Carter might have exaggerated, but there is absolutely some racism out there, to deny it exists is disengenuous. This has been twisted by Rush and Beck into the accusation that anyone who disagrees with Obama is a racist. Please show me anyone who has made such a stupid statement that nobody can back up, and I will agree that person is a fool.

I have never liked Maxine Walters and I am unaware of any statement she made about teabagging and the First Amendment.

All Nazi references are absurd and horrible. I have made that clear many times on these boards in threads. How this ends up as me being accused of hypocracy is freaky. I will say however that Bush led us into a wastefull and destructive overseas war based on dishonesty, but did not deserve a Nazi comparison.

We had an interesting discussion in one of my classes today about where this extreme political climate is going to end up. The professor said that the Russians believe the U.S. can no longer exist as a unified nation and will break up into 5 autonomous entities soon. I totally dug that cause I've been saying something along those lines for a while now.

Any thoughts? Are the Russians right on this one?

I have been saying that for a long time now.

I compare us and any super power to rome. Rome got so big it collapsed on itself just as the Russians did and just as we will. Wait and see all super powers will fall eventually from getting too big.

Don't think it can happen look at what happened to Russia.

It's pretty obvious to me looking at an electoral map how we're going to end up, territorially anyway. I think the real question is whether we will become totally dinstinct countries or will have a softly integrated system akin to the EU.

WOW! Why debate about race, when the issue at hand is healtcare reform. Jimmy Carter did not say all the opposition were racists, he stated that the core protesters/extreme right are. Protesting is a right for any citizen, and some groups protests are based on racism (like them ****** ASS KKK's). I do understand the need to protest against the government taking too much control. But whats wrong with giving health care to all? And I do truly mean, ALL! Why would someone not want to allow healthcare for all? I am not the nicest dude in the world, but would I not help my brother/sister (black, white, yellow, brown, red, even purple) if he/she is in need? Ofcourse I would, its human nature, we are not animals (survival of the fittest/wealthiest). And for those not wanting to pay the extra taxes and such, my dude, 30% of my checks have been taken from me all my life and does that money help me directly...Let me see, I have no health care, no financial support from the government, my public education sucked, traffic is bad, etc. I've complained but I understand that's the cost to live in this society. If I need to pay a bit more to give/get healthcare, then charge it to the game.

That may very well be what he was referring to. That's not exactly how I envisioned the map looking, though. Ex- I think California, Oregon, Washington, and Hawaii will stand together without Nevada, Arizona, Idaho, and especially Utah.

I don't see any reason to doubt the Chinese influence on our newly created nation. We do have several thriving commercial ports, and a lot of the goods that come in are made in China, right?

The violence-mongers (Hannity, Limbaugh, etc.....) are very lucky they are living at the present time. In years past (and not that far back), inciting to violence, which is what they are doing, was considered treason and dealt with accordingly.

My wish is that these folks have what they are calling for (i.e.: armed violence in the streets) visited upon them. Just because you are capable of yelling "Fire!" in a crowded theater does not mean you should do it.........
