That is on top of last summers bow to Saudi King Abdullah Methinks Barry does not get it! WTF...over? Say or think what you want about our previous POTUS....but I know baby Bush, Clinton, papa Bush, Reagan, Carter, Ford, Nixon, Johnson, Kennedy, Eisenhower, or Truman never bowed to another head of state! I learned in a cultural anthropology class, that the deeper the bow, the more respect is paid. if person is of such grand reputation and achievement, then the deeper bow is necessary to acknowledge that and pay due respect. {shows how education is a value, huh) love.  |

You folks are half right...generally a long and deep bow indicates strong emotion or great respect....but it also signifies an acknowledgment of a person of a different social standing. Methinks...if the POTUS and Emperor of Japan are of the same social standing--then why should the Emperor receive more respect than our Prez? If someone slaps Barry in the face...then don't they also slap every US citizen in the face; respect is a double edge sword. Maybe we should chalk it up to amateur hour on parade. |

And to say, "stop picking on our president". Cry me a river. I'm not a Bush defender, but I have a feeling that the same people who say enough of the picking on our president were the same ones who bashed Bush without being lambasted. Grow some thicker skin folks. These people have the same right to bash as you do.The 1st Amendment says you can, of course this is a private website So, our Olympian teams do not dip our flag to the host countries, do we need to start now? Study our military salutes. Did you know an open palm salute signifies weakness? Or shall I say, you can kick our ass.  |
