Rep Power: 11 | well, it's a long and pretty sad story, but hopefully it will have a happy ending. anyway, my brother and i got dogs together a few years ago, when we happily lived in a house with my parents and had a yard, so forth. fast forward to 2008, while i have an apartment with my brother, my parents' house is foreclosed on due to their recent unemployment. we took our dogs a couple months ago when it became a financial burden on my parents (who were watching them), and my brother and i have been doing our best since then. for the past few months, it's been OK with our apartment to have dogs living with us, until our new landlord informed us last week that if we don't get rid of our dogs, then we're in violation of the lease and we're out on our asses. my brother and i, as students and employees, can barely afford to pay rent now, let alone find a new place and lose our current security deposit. i've tried everything short of dropping them at the pound (which i refuse to do)... and now i have no option but to try and find a new home for them... whoever can find room in their heart or their home for these sweet dogs with forever have my gratitude. i'm asking everyone i know and i figured that i needed to get the word out there. the little yellow one is loaf, he's 2 and a half, he's a male corgi. he's fixed, housetrained, knows a few tricks (roll over, speak) and was raised in a house with cats and kids, along with other dogs. he's really people-oriented, and loves to play. however, he's also a good inside dog and is really calm indoors, due to living in an apartment for half of his life. corgis are awesome dogs, loaf is no exception. likes nothing more than to walk up to you, roll over, and let you scratch his belly. one of the best dogs with kids you'll ever meet. the bigger black one is cocoa, she's 2 and a half, she's a female lab/irish staffordshire mix. she's fixed, housetrained, and knows basic commands (sit, stay) and basic tricks (speak, shake). she was raised along with loaf, in a house with cats and kids, as well as another lab. she's one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet, content to just sit by you and lick your hand while you pet her. she's very docile indoors, but outdoors she loves to run! she's a great activity dog for running, jogging, or hiking, as she is very muscular and loves to exercise and play. cocoa lets our cat attack her face without blinking, and doesn't give much thought to the cat most of the time. both dogs would do best in a family environment with a yard. i would love nothing more than to keep my dogs, but unfortunately we're out of options. it would be completely preferred if the dogs could go together, but i know this is not always the case. just know that the dogs grew up together since they were both 2 months old! if you're interested in either dog, or hopefully both, let me know as soon as you can, as time is running out. PM me or email me, anything. i'm desperate for both my dogs' and my own well being. thanks in advance for any help!!! i hope this is more of a pictures down there. the first picture is both of them, the second is just cocoa and the 3rd and 4th are just loaf. |
