Rep Power: 3245 | 4 yrs. Ago my mother passed away and the last thing she said to me was "jonny, please take care of pookie", her 2 yr old cat. Me, being independently solo, reluctantly said ok.(i thought she was going to be fine) 4 hrs later she passed away and i became the father of her kitty. Now i can't imagine life w/out her. She is my daughter. |

Took him a year to adjust, but he's one fat happy fur ball now, thing's huge, weighs a ton, he's larger than a purse dog and more aggressive. No matter what I'm doing he's plopping himself down right in the middle of it and demanding some love. Pretty much he got rid of anything living in the yard in the first month (including lizards which he happy gnawed on like a chew toy) He also made it clear to any cats that wandered in he was going to kick their ass, so the property is now denuded of any living thing that might be edible or fun to beat up. He spends his days doing desultory patrols and sleeping in the window sill. I think he still misses my mother. Sometimes he sighs and comes and just leans against me, almost as if he were a little melancholy. |

Rep Power: 3245 | Yeah resipsa, i can relate. I'm sure pookie misses mom. I have her (my mother)ashes on my mantle of family picture's and she will lay right against her and sleep for hour's, as if she knows what's in the box. And it also took her about a year to come around. I guess feline's are the same when someone passes, as far as getting rid of any creatures in the yard and claiming their territory because that's exactly what she did, lol. |

just give a tiny squirt on plant, done. There is a ton load of simple house plants that are poisoneous to cats....that's why I have silk. Get your kitty some organic wheat grass growing in those plastic containers at stores for kitty to nibble on, catnip toys, major scratching post. The better food you feed them the better their health and teeth will be. I feed my fur babies Bench and Fields Holistic Chicken dry food from Trader Joes. Wellness, Innova, Spots Stew, these all are outrageously good. | |

Rep Power: 60286 | Re: My cat This cat, I am holding, in my picture, I've had her since she was 7 days old...I was working at the animal shelter and these two ladies brought this tiny kitten, with green goop coming out of her nose and eyes...They brought her up to me and asked"what do we do with this kitten?" I seen the tiny thing, barely looked like a cat at all. It was barely alive. I knew the shelter would put her to sleep immediately...So, I said, "let me take it." and I've had her ever since. I took her to the vet the very next day, for antibiotics...I had to get kitten milk and a bottle for her right away...and I had to make her go potty. She was so helpless...So tiny, so green...and white...with these beautiful, light blue eyes...She's beautiful, now! She's deaf and I am glad because she doesn't hear all the birds I have in the house. She can see them, but knows not to bother them. I teach her with a spray bottle and hand gestures, since she cannot hear. She never climbs onto a table...or counter top. She's a year old April 29th. She's very playful and loves to go inside of boxes...and chases my feet, daily! I've never had a cat before. But could never imagine life without her. I love her, dearly. She's just so precious! |
