Rep Power: 1291645 | b1joy2c Tedster's - Goodbye Sweet Teddy Hello WeedTracker Family. I just got this from our b1joy2c and she has given me permission to post it for her. Please join me as we send healing thoughts to Teddy’s Mom. ![]() To all: For those of you that knew my wonderful, loving and trusting best friend, guardian and companion he has now taken a journey to his final destination. He will come home so that ultimately we can travel together. He taught me kindness, compassion, love without rewards. The excitement of things that meant the most to him (mostly food) I always have said he came as Pauper and left as a Prince. When I first saw the sweet 8 or so year old darling and he was placed in my lap and I looked at his teeth and knew that this boy had a tough life with little caring. When he moved in, I came to realize he didn't play with toys and had no interest, After his Foster Mom left him he waited at the door for 5 days awaiting her return. She groomed and nursed him until he could be adopted. He lived with her and her pack for quite sometime. His chances of adoption were kinda slim. However one mutual look and I knew this was love at first sight. We had a rough beginning as I was sick when he was first adopted. Ironically I am once again ill when he passed. He could have been as old as 12 to 14. No one could be sure cause his teeth were so terrible. After taking heart medication and the lasiks his teeth returned to a normal and beautiful state as he lost oxygen and couldn't breathe I suffered with him with every gasp he took. I was up with him most of last night and told him that the first time you turn down a meal I promise you will not suffer any more. This morning he didn't move off the sofa. He left my bed at 2 a.m., remain gasping on the floor till around 3 or 4 or back the bed, it is a blur now but this morning all was quiet and then I heard another heave and went into the kitchen and there was no movement. I called his resident foster mom, friend and neighbor who has been walking and loving him since he moved in; she drove me and stayed with us while he made his passage. He smiled as he left, I know this is hokey but I kissed him on the lips and said goodbye, we shall meet again. What a fine man he was, without ego, gentle beyond words, and always ready to eat. His tail would wag so fast hitting a cabinet that both of us thought someone was at the door. We entertained each other a lot. So this cathartic letter is being sent to you as part of my grieving process which is just beginning. All have a nice weekend. I truly want to be alone with my pain and thanks for that for now. Love, J |

Rep Power: 663 | Re: b1joy2c Tedster's - Goodbye Sweet Teddy Boomer please send our love to Joy. What a heart wrenching thing to read and while I know it was hard in the end, she gave Teddy a kiss and he left this earth in dignity. So blessed were you both. I look down and have to give Cinder a big hug knowing how special he is to me. What Joy said is all any of us so called "owners" can hope. That our little critter friends might arrive like paupers but if we do our jobs correctly, they all leave like princes. God bless, lil' Teddy. Sleep soundly tonight. |

Our pets become so much more like friends or even our children that it is truly agonizing to see one of them go. But I believe, like you, that we will get to be with them again, someday. |

Rep Power: 578200 | Re: b1joy2c Tedster's - Goodbye Sweet Teddy Awe Joy, My heart weeps with you, as I read your post. I pray that your grieving is quick, and that your special smile returns to your face soon. I'm not going to post the Rainbow Bridge, as we've all seen it far too often.... and besides, it makes me cry everytime I read it, but it is a comforting read when you're ready. Teddy is now at peace in a wonderful playground, where he can run and play with other furry critters within God's Kingdom. One day, we'll all be reunited with our pets from the past...and what a wonderful and joyous reunion that will be. Please find peace in knowing that you gave Teddy a wonderful, love filled life, that without you, he probably would never have been able to enjoy. I love you, and hope you can soon make peace with everything, and that we see you posting again here shortly. Love and prayers to you and Teddy |

| Re: b1joy2c Tedster's - Goodbye Sweet Teddy I've got tears in my eyes right now. Look at that sweet, loving expression. I am so sorry for your loss. It must be devastating. I have to go hug the kitties of doom now. Posts like these remind me that we do not have all the time in the world with our beloved furry friends. |
