What's up everyone? This last Friday (Halloween) was my first year sober from shooting meth multiple times a day on a daily basis.:partysmile: It seems like only yesterday I was living in a nightmare; with no hope in sight of ever living a "normal" life.... I remember getting my Rec. on New Years' Eve.....going to N.R.C. the first time...

"Wow" was the first word I could mutter as I saw all the different choices of meds...I recall going skydiving a few times....getting married on 4-20-08. This past year on WeedTracker has been one of nothing but good memories.

This is great to read, I'm so happy for you that you were able to pull yourself up out of that quicksand!

Sounds like this has been a very positive year for you. I hope this coming one is twice as good.

Growing up in Bakersfield, I've ALOT of people lose everything to meth. It is a strong force, but you are stronger than it when you believe in yourself. Thanks for being an inspiration!

good stuff. i quit around 8 yrs ago. my body couldnt have done it without the help of mary jane. they call it a 'gateway' 'drug' but rather than open it closed a dark chapter in my life.

I don't know you and you don't know me...but we're both a part of this community. It's kinda strange for me to speak to a stranger about these things, but...when I was growing up, our D.A.R.E. program didn't tell us much about meth. I'm sure things have changed since then (I seriously hope kids are being taught how bad it is, at least as much as they're being lied to about how bad weed is!). I've witnessed many confused young people, with so much potential, lose everything and either die or end up in jail for a very long time, some of them were my "friends" (Guess you could say I ended up with the "wrong crowd.") A few have made it through, and they are the strongest and most successful people I know, some of my best buds for life! (What doesn't kill us makes us stonger...) I have a lot of respect for you, as I know how hard it is to travel the road less traveled. Don't ever give up, and don't ever forget how far you've come, and how many never make it. Wake up each day and be thankful for all that is good in your life, as I'm sure you already do. Keep being a positive inspiration for all those around you. You've inspired me to keep on going, no matter what obstacles come our way... Sorry for rambling & for all the cliches!!! BIG UPS TO YOU!

I have known far too many victims who fell to that stuff ,

success stories are sometimes needed to be heard in order to
remind some that it is not impossible to get your mind back !!!

WOW... inspiring... awesome... I can only imagine how accomplished you feel!
I've seen and experienced what that stuff can do, and how far the ripples go, so it's so tear jerking to see someone so stoked to be away from it for as long as you are. And the fact that you are open about it, and have that "accountability" with any kind of network will help you tremendously, believe me, I've been there. ;)
