Rep Power: 2273 | my ecstasy habit..gone i used to be addicted to E..and now its been a full year seince ive been sober from it...and the reason for that....is Cannabis... Ecstasy i almost died one time...i went borderline OD ..i guess u could say i was one of the idiots that wanted to "push it to the next level" and i decided to do it two days in a row...AND did over 4 pills...not something i am proud of..but i am very proud of myself for getting off that stuff...its made me a better person...soo yeah...but long story short...i dont have any more bad anxiety...and i can actually have munchies :] ..i usually dont have an appatite but I am so glad i have Cannabis to self medicate...because i can overcome my addiction AND still feel good and be medically treated <3 cannabis |

Rep Power: 64 | Re: my ecstasy habit..gone Good for you and getting off that shit. I am 20 and living in the bay area, and E here is a HUGE CRAZE with highschool kids and even alot of my friends. Ive walked into parties and literally everybody is thizzing and as funny as it looked it was really sad. Another close friend went to the dentist a few weeks ago. The dentist looked at his mouth and said "Keep taking Ecstasy and you WILL not have teeth in 3 years." Pretty scary shit. It can ruin your body in so many different ways too. |

Rep Power: 31144 | Re: my ecstasy habit..gone congratulations for being able to break the addiction. E as much fun as it is, is a real dangerous drug to mess with. I know some guys that have done way to much E in their day and I tell ya what it definately shows. Congrats to you for kicking the E habit and glad MMJ is what was able to help you. |

Rep Power: 2273 | Re: my ecstasy habit..gone thank you....i was doing E for a year...and that was honestly...the most amazing year of my life... but...its not a real life..its a fantasy world...hence the word "ecstasy"...but anyhow.....thanks for the support fellow Weedtracker friends Cannabis helped me Recover..instead of going to Rehab..which i almost considerd doing..but i smoked weed before i got My MMJ and the cannabis would keep me maintained and anxiety free..and especially Insomnia... i had a BAD habit of not eating before id do E...why?? because when you dont eat before you do E the feeling hits you wayy quicker and it lasts longer and is more intense...but your depriving your body with the food it needs..basically when i start to come down..id smoke weed..and id be able to go to sleep , eat , and get away from that bad come down...but thats why i also use cannabis now...it helps me with my munchies..i simply dont eat enough..and its because of all that damn E ..but when i take a bong toke...i call up pizza hut and order the 555 deal hahaha |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: my ecstasy habit..gone I haven't done E in almost 10 years, but during the Summer of 1997 I did it an awful lot, spent a month on the stuff (pretty much each weekend and a couple times during the week too). Maybe it's my body chemistry, or the fact that I discovered some great ways to come down without it really affecting my body, but it never bothered me all that much. That said, I wouldn't necessarily touch the stuff now. Too long has passed, and I have no idea what's in the stuff these days. Back then it was still a pretty new thing for my area (at the time, San Diego), and most of what I was getting was very high quality. I wouldn't even know where to try and score some now, nor would I have the inclination. Why bother? The right MMJ and edibles can give ALMOST the same feeling, but without the whole lack of boundries thing. I commend you on being able to kick the habit, long term use of E can lead ot a whole bunch of problems, just as long term use of ANY of that type of drug can. |

Rep Power: 83 | Re: my ecstasy habit..gone well i gotta join the ranks here too. i am a recovering E addict as well and i have been sober from it for over 2 years. i took a little vacation to a rehab facility in Colorado for almost a year i missed my last high school summer and half of my senior year. i was happy to see it had died down when i got back but now its pickin up again and becoming more and more out there again. but iim glad to say that when i see other people rolling, playin with their lights and bumpin the techno i sit back and laugh thinkin "damn i hope i didnt look that ridiculous!" which im sure i did lol! so im happy to say E will never be a part of my life again cuz no matter how fun it is and how great the feeling is its all a fantasy and it will take its toll on your body and brain. |

Rep Power: 44 | Re: my ecstasy habit..gone Please maintain close and frequent contact with your healers and docs. E has a habit of getting serotonin out of whack, even way down the road after you've stopped taking it. It is thought to permanently change neural receptors. Kinda like an acid flashback that won't quit, there are many cases of people getting severe depression after discontinuing E. Grats on getting well! |

Rep Power: 21270 | Re: my ecstasy habit..gone Wow, who would have thought so many people were just like me. I too am a recovering E-tard. While it definitely helped me unlock some emotional problems from the past, it quickly got out of control and I used the drug as a short term fix and didn't realize the long term damage it was doing to my body. The last time I rolled was on my birthday a few years ago, when I overdid it and took 7 pills within 2 hours. I convinced myself that I was going to die at the club and this would be how I went out. Near OD experience I suppose. Needless to say I am alive and recovered well from the ordeal, and will never toy with E again. But good job Mitch, a good batch of herb is all you need brother. Stay strong. -lp |

Rep Power: 2273 | Re: my ecstasy habit..gone Cannabis is the only love for me right now me and my white widow & strawberry cough is all i need once again..thanks for all the support guys.. and as for recovering from E...i drink a whole lot of Orange juice to Maintain a High Vitamin C level...and i also buy 5HTP's from Walgreens , they are "Serintonin balance pills" , they bring your serintonin level back up to normal pace.. in other words [heal your brain from what you lost when you did E] , it takes 3 months to recover from just 1 pill..so its gonna be a few years before i am totally fine...but as of right now..i am fine and i am recovering , Vitamin C is the main key...Vitamin C helps recover your brain bigtime i am gonna get my body looked at tho..cuz i might have messed up something when i Plugged 3 pills within a 2 day radius..and you hear people all the time ODing because they rolled 2 days in a row..nobody knows what plugging does to your body...but you get 100% of the pill when u plug it. ASA works closely with MAPS (Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies) on medical cannabis research issues, but MAPS is also at the forefront of MDMA therapeutic research. You can find out about some of the studies here: http://www.maps.org/mdma/ ASA of course takes no position on therapeutic use of MDMA, but I thought some of you might be interested in this information. | |
